  • 5 stars cause its the only thing on market that really does this
Size: 1 Color: Full Metropolitan Black
I hate the idea of making more than what I need and wasting money on plastic and locking into a bean ecosystem... I like the idea of making a single cup of coffee, no extra plastic, fresh beans and this delivers! It takes some time to dial it in and some trial and error. But this makes a great cup of coffee once you figure it out the settings, it works great! This isn't a negative, it kind of shows you how much control you have. It also looks great! It's about as loud as an espresso machine... so it's not horrible! I got two issues, the height of spout, I can't an American sized coffee mug under it. 😂 The Swiss have to be laughing at me for that. And bean container has a bit of an issue with beans not falling down and it thinks it's empty when it's not. Which my parents have the higher end version and it doesn't have those issues. Regardless, if you want to get away from Keurig Or Nespresso and control your coffee in the a similar easy way. This is the product for you! 🇨🇭 ... show more

  • simple to use and maintain, makes a consistently decent cup of coffee
Size: 1 Color: White
Makes a good cup of coffee unlike others which I have owned,(spinn, nespresso), I have a milk foamer, so I bought this simpler model which is perfect for me, because there's less cleaning than with a foamer or a milk thingie. I use their fancy water filter so I don't have to descale it, love that, worth the money. Cleaning is pretty easy using their little tablet things. One dumb thing, 'the grounds container needs to emptied' message, seems to be just based on a count. A few times I was proactive and cleaned it all out, only to get the message within the next time or two that I used the machine, and as far as I recall, it wasn't enough to pull the thing out and slide it back in. Sometimes I have to swirl the beans a bit because they don't drop into the grinder, I got into the habit of doing it most of the time after I make a cup just to reset things. Not worth making a cup with too few beans in it because the grinder didn't fill properly. I only drink Jamaican Blue Mtn and this machine does fine with it. ... show more

  • Jura ENA 4 Disappoints: Subpar Coffee and Poor Seller Support
Size: 1 Color: Nordic White
I am deeply disappointed with our experience purchasing the Jura ENA 4 coffee machine, which, at over $1,000, should deliver exceptional quality and support. As avid coffee lovers who cherish our Jura Impressa J9 for its strong, delicious brews from freshly ground beans, we chose the ENA 4 as a slightly more affordable option for our second home. Unfortunately, this machine fell far short of our expectations in both performance and the purchasing experience. The unit arrived defective and unusable, requiring a warranty replacement. While Jura’s warranty process was a breeze—prompt, helpful, and easy to navigate—the initial purchase experience with the Amazon seller, Everything Kitchens, was frustratingly DISMAL. Their customer service lacked the empathy or urgency one expects when dealing with a faulty, high-end product. It’s truly disheartening that a seller handling premium coffee machines couldn’t provide the level of support we deserved, especially for such an expensive purchase. Once we received the replacement machine from Jura, we were hopeful, but the coffee quality was consistently subpar. Despite using the same high-quality beans as with our J9 and following the instructions carefully, the brews were weak and lacked the rich, satisfying flavor we expected. This was a stark contrast to the robust coffee our J9 delivers, making the ENA 4 feel like a regrettable compromise. Additionally, I believe return policies for such costly items should be more consumer-friendly. The 30-day return window should not start until the buyer receives a functional product, as delays in shipping and warranty processes can unfairly limit resolution options. Overall, while Jura’s warranty team was exemplary, I cannot recommend the Jura ENA 4 due to its disappointing coffee quality, and I certainly don't recommend purchasing from Everything Kitchens as a seller, given their poor customer service. For a machine priced over $1,000, we expected—and deserved—far better. ... show more

  • Great product! Use it on the daily.
Size: 1 Color: Black
I no longer waste money at Starbucks or other coffee shops. This fully automatic espresso maker makes coffee house quality espresso right in your own home. The price is somewhat high, but depending on how often you spend at high end coffee shops, it will easily pay for itself in a year. I've been very happy and the routine maintenance on the machine is simple and quick. Money well spent for a quality coffee drinker. ... show more

  • My 3rd espresso machine
Size: 1 Color: Nordic White
I had an entry level, then expensive, then even more expensive- e.g. this one. I know people who had their Jura machines for 18 years with just maintenance and no issues; so that was my reason to try it. In comparison, Jura makes the best coffee. You don’t have to deal with the mess of having a knock box and coffee grounds everywhere. The coffee is consistent and decent. My husband and I drink regular and decaf respectively, so for us it was important that we don’t have to measure and add different beans each time. This is why the side chute for different coffee comes in handy! I do like my cappuccino in the morning, but that was solved with a Beichen milk heater/frother. It does a better job than I ever could with my old espresso machines, perfect every time! Again, less mess and cleanup there, too. Finally, I discovered that using well ground beans in slightly elevated quantity in the side chute gives you coffee shop quality coffee! I think if Jura just made the quantity of grounds larger for each pour, it would vastly improve this machine. Verdict: we’re keeping it. It’s a very good machine and the sleek design makes it appealing as well. ... show more

  • Not an Improvement Over the Model A1
Size: 1 Color: Black
My old Jura ENA model A1 lasted a little more than ten years before it started leaking and bit the dust. I really liked that machine. It was fast, easy to clean, and made a very respectable cup of espresso. The ENA 4 is replacement for the model A1. There are a couple of things to like about the new ENA 4, but at the end of the day, there are a lot more things that I dislike. I like that I can see the water level in the reservoir from the front of the machine. I also like the mechanical buttons vs. the old touchpad controls. That's about it. The things I dislike about the ENA 4 are that it is much slower to brew a cup of coffee. If the machine has been sitting for more than a few minutes, it wants to go through some sort of rinsing cycle before it grinds and starts brewing. On my old machine, I could get a fresh cup of espresso in about 20 to 30 seconds. The ENA 4 takes around a minute and a half to two minutes -- whirring and rinsing before it finally gets around to grinding and brewing. It also goes through a lot of water with all the rinses, necessitating filling the water reservoir frequently and emptying the waste container after brewing only very few cups. The waste container is also way more complicated that on the previous model, with more parts, hinged sections, and is way more likely to spill over when it's removed from the machine. The bean hopper also has some sort of safety grate in it, which frequently jams up, preventing beans from falling into the grind mechanism, which is annoying. Jura has also updated the water filters for this machine, which include some sort of proprietary electronics, which means that you can no longer use filters made by anyone other than Jura...and they are even more expensive than the earlier Jura filters! All in all, given the high price of this machine, the high cost of Jura filters and maintenance supplies, and the added labor required to keep it running...I don't think it's worth it. I could have purchased an awful lot of Nespresso capsules for what it cost to purchase and maintain the ENA 4, and there's a lot less fussing with emptying, cleaning, and filling with Nespresso. Not to mention that the coffee is just as good, and it's way faster! ... show more
