After finding that so-called "cold" packs in my first aid kit are useless for an ankle sprain (they do not get cold enough to reduce swelling so are worse than useless), I bought a bunch of ankle support devices. This one is by far the best of breed. It's extremely rare for me to leave a 5-star (perfect) review. I'm a hard grader. I'm an avid hiker who's sprained both ankles numerous times, so my ligaments are weak. So an ankle binder/anti-swelling device is always in my first aid kit. This one has the durability and adjustability I've been looking for. Pros: • Compression sock is tight and fits well. It is noticeable when walking, but what wouldn't be? • Compression band is VERY well made. Unlike some bands that velcro-stick, its high-quality material does not tear itself apart when removing or adjusting the velcro. • Compression band is extremely adjustable. Very stretchy, it accommodates any ankle thickness. I've sprained my ankle 5 miles from the trailhead and had to walk out—not fun. The key to healing is to reduce swelling. If there's no icy stream to soak the ankle in for 20 minutes, ibuprofen and compression are all one has. This strap is so stretchy that it can be an ankle saver by allowing the user to wrap tightly without cutting off foot circulation. Cons: None that I can find. This small, lightweight device is a permanent fixture in my first aid kit. Highly recommended.

I thought this would be good for my foot (5th metatarsal area) and ankle. It works well but my toes starting swelling and turning blue from the constriction. I was forced to take them off. For reference I wear a ladies' size 10 shoe and my feet are neither wide nor narrow. The sock portion is very durable and sturdy and VERY TIGHT. I knew it would be tight, that is the whole purpose after all, but it because too painful and I worried about my toes swelling and turning color. If these fit you okay you have the option of using the straps for additional stability which is nice. I did have trouble getting them to attach to one another without resorting to twisting one side of the strap. The velcro on the straps is quite strong and you don't want to put it on the sock itself, make sure to attach it to the other end of the strap (velcro). There was no problem getting my sock over this or fitting my foot into my shoe with this on. This is a good product but unfortunately doesn't work for me so it was a waste of money.

I was pleasantly surprised that this fit me snug and felt so durable. I am plus size and things for the ankles or knees always fit awkwardly and this actually fit perfect. It was also easy to put on, even though the instructions were only pictures that were a bit confusing. It's a 2 part brace and you can definitely adjust it to fit as tight or as loose as you want. You could even just wear the sock part and that would be some compression. I also didn't realize that I got 2 braces for this low price. What a deal! Many things I buy on Amazon have a chemical smell and I am very sensitive to that. I happy to report this smelled like nothing - hooray! I am verry happy with my purchase.

My feet and ankles have been hurting since I started a new job walking on concrete a lot. Most of the pain is on the insides of my ankles. I have sprained my ankles many times and I have little stability. These arrived within hours of my purchase and they feel so good! Instant pain relief. I love that you can use the sleeves with or without the extra support and that they come in a two pack. Most of the other things were just one, but I have pain in both ankles. Took me a minute to figure out how to get the support on but once I figured it out, it's very easy. I will be living in these!!
