    • Fake NP-126S with proof
An NP-126S, among other changes from the NP-126, includes a thermistor to measure the temperature of the battery while charging and discharging to not only protect the battery but you the user and your expensive camera. This can be demonstrated by placing a probe on both the T terminal and the ground. This should read the thermistor resistance and translate it to the battery's current temperature. The value is always 10K Ohm or 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The genuine cells with the sensor will read from 8K Ohms to around 12K Ohms depending on the battery and ambient temperature. This is an easy test by merely putting the battery in the fridge for a few moments with an original and measure the difference. The real NP-126S will report correctly, and the Jupio will indicate 10K Ohms as always because it is a simple resister placed on the circuit. The other thing they failed to do is place the identification resistor between the S terminal and the ground. Genuine fuji batteries labeled NP-126S read 680K Ohms while the read infinity indicating that there is no continuity and simply no resistor present. These batteries may work due to fooling the camera some times, but it is quite simple to detect and recent firmware changes will block them and prevent it's use and or boost mode functionality. This is all while paying for the same quality of knock-off batteries, which go for $5, but you get the privilege of paying $30 and having some beautiful packaging to soothe your mind while your camera is at risk. Do not buy until this has been corrected and or the company removes the false statement that this is a true NP-126S, which it is not. Don't risk your valuable equipment on these high priced cheaply copied knock offs If, by mistake, I received a prototype batch, I will retract these statements. However, they are unusable to me, and they do not even turn on when using the pro grip, so be warned. I recommend they save expensive packaging and give us a real product that works and protects our equipment while providing power. Regards, Concerned Camera enthusiast ... show more
