I'm not sure where the negative hype for this game comes from. This is a straight up love letter to anime fans. You can pull off great combos spectacular special moves and the combat is very fast paced. Not as deep as say FighterZ but it definetly satisfies. Graphics I like to think are just stylized not horrible by any means and the voice acting is pretty great. The voice work is in Japanese so there is some reading involved. All in all if you love anime you'll love this game. I'm having a blast and believe it's worth it's full price ... show more

I bought this game for the purpose to play online or offline, I don't care about story mode, which many say it isn't that great. I personally like that I can play as different characters, it's a second version of J Stars versus.

If you’re an anime/manga fan you’ll appreciate the fact that this game brings it all together. I think they got the fighting right. It’s fast paced and simple. That said, this game could have been soooooo much better. What is with the all the loading screens? I have to wait 30-45 seconds for a 10 second terribly made cutscene? The story mode isn’t anything special. The best fighting is probably the extra missions. This part is a bit personal, but I am a dubbed fan. So while I appreciate the authenticity of it being subbed, constantly reading subtitles isn’t for me. Overall it’s a fun game but I’m getting tired of it quickly.
