I ordered this because we were just using some placemats as the floor covering under our pets' food bowls. They weren't water proof so anytime they'd drink they would get water all over the mats and it would go straight through them onto the floor. This placemat does its job of absorbing water but not letting it touch the floor. At first it freaked me out as I tested it by pouring a small portion of water onto it. I didn't know what was happening because I thought maybe the water was pooling or reforming into a circle. Nope. This thing just sucked it up asap. It takes a few seconds, but the water will disappear into the mat but yet not penetrate the rest of the mat to soak your floor. My wife thinks its really cool, and we aren't sure how much water it will absorb before it gets overloaded. We also wonder what it will act like when we hand wash it after a particularly messy meal from our furry friends. So far it does its job of protecting your floor and absorbing liquids, so if you need something to help keep your pets' feeding area clean and dry give this a try. I give it 5 stars.

I ordered this because I have one of those dogs that decides they are done drinking, but they still have a mouth full of water that, inevitably, becomes a small pond on our floor. I had hoped that this would do the trick, but the size ended up being a bit smaller than I imagined. That, coupled with the fact that my dog also likes to walk and drool, and this mat is not as effective as I had hoped. However, the true test of this mat was did it collect water when spilled and was it easy to clean? Yes, yes it does! I just have an uncooperative dog who refuses to see my brilliant ideas for keeping the floors dry as a suitable solution to his desire to wander the house with a mouth full of water. However, this has become a great mat for the kids painting projects!

I actually really like this bath mat it's heavy so it doesn't slide around at all when you step out of the shower it actually does absorb water but doesn't soak through wish there was more colors but overall it does the job

My pug is a sloppy drinker. We normally put a rubber backed rug underneath his water bowl, but it doesn't dry out that fast. This absorbed the water so quickly you couldn't really tell where he spilled when he was drinking, and after when he moves away and drips everywhere. I actually would like this even wider than it is to catch more drips as he walks away. :) I would highly recommend this item if you have a dog water bowl in a water-sensitive area. Two thumbs up!

I have two small dogs and finding a mat for their water and food bowls that hold them has been a challenge. Then I found this one. I love that it’s a solid color and that it is very absorbent when they drip water from the dishes. This is easy clean up, I even vacuumed up pieces of kibble and it stayed in place! This mat has kept my floors dry and a lot cleaner, I highly recommend it to anyone searching for a feeding mat for their pets!

I am using this mat for a very large water bowl for my Huskies. They tend to make a mess when they drink and this mat has been a lifesaver. The mat is large, very absorbent and easy to clean. Also, the color goes nicely with our kitchen flooring. I have not needed to wash it beyond wiping it with a damp cloth. Mats like this go for twice the price. Very pleased.

Very good material, heavy duty and non slip! My cats are messy eaters, everything they spill wipes off very easily. Especially nice when they are messy with their dry food, I can just pick up the mat for easy clean up instead of having to sweep up every day. Good product.
