Great backplate that was fairly easy to put on! What’s even better is it lowered my overall temps some and the fan didn’t have to kick on as high so lower fan noise. Overal would recommend this back plate as it also looks pretty awesome too in my opinion.

The new back is very stylish, and I can already tell the extra vent is helping keep my deck cool while playing BG3. It took a while to get my old back off (turn out one of the screws was stripped) so I was very pleased to see the kit came with extra screws. The little plastic pick and crowbar could benefit from being a harder plastic but they still got the job done.

I was interested in this mainly for the adjustable backplate controls. The Steam Deck controls were difficult for me to reach without really over-tensioning my fingers. The ability to tailor this to my comfort was a big drawer. I was skeptical about the rest of the package. However, I have to admit that I'm pretty impressed. The back plate came not just with the adjustable controls, but also with a respectable screwdriver (not the kind that is found in a Christmas cracker), and the various backplate controls were sitting in their own cavities in a foam insert, with space for the default controls if you choose to remove them. I've been so used to stuff just thrown into a plastic bag and that just delivered in a box, this quite impressed me. The attention to detail extends to plastic tooling to help release the clips. They also provide a full set of screws in the package, which was an unexpected bonus (I did not expect this because you can just re-use the ones from the original back plate). Overall, impressed, and the higher backplate controls have definitely improved the Steam Deck for me.

This item works well and installs super easy. I started playing Baldurs Gate 3 on steam deck (64gb, no other mods/changes) and was enjoying myself outside of fan noise, temperature and battery life. Since installing all three areas have improved. Fan noise is probably 30% less Battery life went from ~65 minutes to ~105 minutes Temperature has dropped a fair bit, I hate to give an actual number here but it’s considerable. I recommend this product, it’s a simple install and does what it says. *I don’t have any special tools to actually provide data*

L4 L5 buttons are stuck not my first case from them really love the look and the added thermal performance. Just disappointed about the buttons having no play what so ever.
