Purchased from: Eternia Gaming It said mine was in "excellent" re-newed condition, and the first thing I noticed was, that it has heavy scratches/damage and no original box. Then when I tried playing pokemon fire red, the R button kept being pressed without me touching it, and it brings up a menu and doesn't let me play at all. Then there was problems reading both DS and GBA cartidges constantly.. Amazon's standards and testing for this one was very low. I'd trust someone on ebay selling it "like new" or "very good" for around the same price, cuz atleast you'll see pictures and have it tested better. They usually have better quality. I'm guessing Amazon had a bunch of broken ones, that they buy for 2 bucks or get it free, and then "re-new" it, into a barely working state to sell it. On ebay you could get ones that have never been broken before, and have descriptions/photos that show a good condition... I'm hospitalized and very sick so I have an extremely hard time returning stuff.. this one's gonna be a huge bother, if I can't fix it on my own.. not worth the gamble. I expected it to be decent atleast, but it was a let down.. ... show more

absolutely perfect. bought from "CaveGamers". i guess i got lucky or something but it look brand new with a new charger too. looks like new screens. the outside shell has some scratches but not many. charger port looks new too. thx bros. i am happy.

Screens are in perfect condition almost brand new with no scratches. The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is that when I went to charge it I realized they gave me the wrong charger.

I bought this to compare with other refurbished stores out there, as I do repairs myself on these older retro consoles. The Amazon shell replacement is serviceable, but the parts used were clearly very cheap. It does the job, but the price is steep for the upcharge - the buttons and membrane should be of much higher quality. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The DS arrived in like new condition!! It came with a charger! A couple VERY minor scratches on the top screen, but you can’t even see them while playing. All ports are clean, the stylist is new and fits in the spot wonderfully (no wiggling or falling out), the game boy cover is locked in place but easy to remove and reinstall. Unsure how the GB works, since I don’t currently have any GB games, but the DS game slot works perfectly. I was easily able to fill out settings with my daughters info (name, color, etc) and reset the date and time. It came with a plastic covering on the blue shield and the bottom screen, which I’m assuming was replaced prior to sell since it’s in perfect condition. All buttons work and play smoothly, as so the power and volume switches. Haven’t tried headphones yet, since I only have Bluetooth ones right now. The entire system is CLEAN, I know the reflection of light makes the parts around the interior screens look questionable in the video, but it is spotless. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and glad my oldest kiddo can have her first system be something so much more manageable, easier to use and travel with, and sturdier than other, newer options. (She’s 4, almost 5 and has been begging for a Switch to play Mario) ... show more
