PERFECT - in better condition than my old DS. I couldn't believe it when I opened the box - I was transported back to when I was a kid. It did NOT come in an original DS box (but I knew that ahead of time) - it DID come with a charger (not sure if its the original charger or not, but it looks the same as my original charger - and it worked, that's all I cared about.) I could not believe the condition it was in - way better than I expected. It had MINOR scratches on the bottom, but almost NONE on the top, and on the inside. And the screens were basically scratch-free as well. ALL the buttons work - this was crazy, I was expecting at least the back trigger buttons to be finicky, but everything works PERFECTLY - game slot 1 works great too (Not sure if the gameboy slot works, because I don’t have any GB games - regular game slot works great. And I don’t think the stylus is an original, but it fits in the slot and works great). Literally in better shape than the one I had when I was a kid. I cannot recommend this enough. Thank you to the seller for sending it in such amazing condition!!!

Arrived in good condition and started games on first try. This is my second order as the first had the screens reversed(top dim and bottom bright white ds). But everything is in order with this device. Start and select buttons a little flimsy in comparison to my original ds lite but that’s the only complaint I could find. Recommend if you want some nostalgia.

Purchased from: Eternia Gaming It said mine was in "excellent" re-newed condition, and the first thing I noticed was, that it has heavy scratches/damage and no original box. Then when I tried playing pokemon fire red, the R button kept being pressed without me touching it, and it brings up a menu and doesn't let me play at all. Then there was problems reading both DS and GBA cartidges constantly.. Amazon's standards and testing for this one was very low. I'd trust someone on ebay selling it "like new" or "very good" for around the same price, cuz atleast you'll see pictures and have it tested better. They usually have better quality. I'm guessing Amazon had a bunch of broken ones, that they buy for 2 bucks or get it free, and then "re-new" it, into a barely working state to sell it. On ebay you could get ones that have never been broken before, and have descriptions/photos that show a good condition... I'm hospitalized and very sick so I have an extremely hard time returning stuff.. this one's gonna be a huge bother, if I can't fix it on my own.. not worth the gamble. I expected it to be decent atleast, but it was a let down..

This is a difficult product to review as it is a refurbished item and your results may vary plus they made some strange choices when refurbishing the DS lite. First they did an excellent job putting a new lens and shell on the device and the internals all look very good. And the shell while an aftermarket shell is nice and only has a few quarks. Some of the negatives include: Stylus is stuck and take a lot of effort to remove. The ports were filthy and can be a turn off for some. I was able to clean them with a qtip and alcohol. It raises the question why didn't they just clean it themselves? The L and R were missing springs. While not breaking it does make the triggers feel weird. The rubber membranes were the original which some may consider a pro but for me the A button was so broken in that the button sagged back into the console. The pros: Screens look beautiful. They replaced the lenses and even the digitizer for the bottom screen. The aftermarket shell while being not the best does feel really nice. Speakers worked well enough. So your mileage will vary and considering they are asking double for a used unit from eBay. I'd say it is worth it for some but if you are someone who like to tinker and fix old toys like this then maybe just go to eBay and refurbished it yourself.

The media could not be loaded. The DS arrived in like new condition!! It came with a charger! A couple VERY minor scratches on the top screen, but you can’t even see them while playing. All ports are clean, the stylist is new and fits in the spot wonderfully (no wiggling or falling out), the game boy cover is locked in place but easy to remove and reinstall. Unsure how the GB works, since I don’t currently have any GB games, but the DS game slot works perfectly. I was easily able to fill out settings with my daughters info (name, color, etc) and reset the date and time. It came with a plastic covering on the blue shield and the bottom screen, which I’m assuming was replaced prior to sell since it’s in perfect condition. All buttons work and play smoothly, as so the power and volume switches. Haven’t tried headphones yet, since I only have Bluetooth ones right now. The entire system is CLEAN, I know the reflection of light makes the parts around the interior screens look questionable in the video, but it is spotless. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and glad my oldest kiddo can have her first system be something so much more manageable, easier to use and travel with, and sturdier than other, newer options. (She’s 4, almost 5 and has been begging for a Switch to play Mario)

I normally don’t write reviews but I just thought I would warn you before you buy this. I bought this in “excellent” condition. It definitely is not excellent. It has a bunch of scratches on the shell. The bottom screen is pretty scuffed and slightly discolored. The stylus is a different color too. It is however fully functional. I probably wont return it but I was definitely a little bummed out about the quality after paying extra for “excellent.”
