Our dog kept slipping out of her normal collar, and the slip lead was too harsh for her. This collar offers a great balance between the two types of collars! She has not been able to slip out of the collar, not for lack of trying. The outside is reflective which makes it easier to see her at night or early in the morning outside. The light blue color is cute. The quality seems very good, and the material is durable and strong. We have a lab mix, and the medium size fits her well.

I ordered this collar to go with my dog's purple leash. The collar differs slightly in color from the leash which was a bit of a disappointment since they were purchased together. However, this is not a deal breaker just an irritant. The collar is quite serviceable; it is well made of sturdy material which thus far has not ripped, developed loose threads, or come apart where sewn. The stitches are uniform and have remained intact. Being stitched with reflective thread is a bonus; when I first saw it in the dark I was quite surprised how bright the reflection was. The plastic buckle is simple and easy to use. The lock on the collar adds an extra element of security. The metal loops utilized in the Martingale design are sturdy and do not pose the same problem plastic ones would. On one of those loops his leash is attached as are his ID tag and other identifiers. If this loop were plastic the potential for snapping would be worrisome. With the metal loop there is no cause for concern. The width of the collar appears comfortable for him, and the nylon fabric has caused no chafing or irritation. We have received many compliments about the matching collar and leash. All in all, a good purchase which I would make again if need be. Top 3 Likes: -Martingale collar with quality fabrication of quality materials -Great color (purple) and color options -Seven months and still going strong with the exception of a little dirt Top 3 Dislikes: -Reflective stitching is not as vibrant as 7 months ago (new) -Advertised to match to coordinating leash, but they do not match (ordered at the same time) -Only 2 dislikes!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Was looking for a Martingale collar (if you don't know what it is, look it up) that's not too wide for our dog's neck, is strong enough, and looks good. Price was good too. My only issue is that one ring alone must be used for both the dog's tags (ID and rabies) AND the leash connection. That is too crowded, and also the ring is thick making it very hard to attach the tags.

My dog isn’t even two years old yet and I’ve lost count of how many collars I’ve bought him, plus ones for previous dogs. I have to say this collar is my favorite I’ve ever bought. It won’t slide loose like some I’ve had before. We never used a martindale collar but one was recommended to me to help stop my pups pulling. I can’t say he doesn’t still pull when he sees another dog on our walks but it has helped lessen them. This collar is sturdy and I feel it will last a long time.

I really like this collar because it has not only the No Pull or Slip feature but it also latches and it has a great safety feature on it. I purchased for all three of my dogs. I have very furry dogs and the collar has not collected fur like previous collar in the past.
