One of the reasons we purchased this particular patio cover was because of the Height of the finished product. Unfortunately the height was incorrect. After assembly it would not fit into place under our roof line until after we cut 8 inches off of each of the support posts. After cutting them off to fit, we found that the posts where hollow. Our hope is that it does not hurt the sturdiness of the product. Other than that the product does look good in it's place. Make sure you have ladders and at least 4 people to assemble this product.

I like the look of the gazebo although I do agree with other customer reviews that the wood is cracked on some boards and there is some war page on one of the roof trusses. The instructions are all pictures not notes or words to describe anything and the images are small. Not sure if the roof center support is supposed to be bowed but it is and the assemble clamps for the center beam don’t fit as expected I may have to modify them some how as the clearance is too tight. Waiting for an answer the the center beam question maybe is is supposed to be that way. This is where the notes would be helpful. Will check back and update after further assembly. Update: so completed the assembly and the center beam turned out to be curved to support the weight of the structure so know that it is curved for a reason. Although I had to modify the clamps that hold it together slight to allow them to sit more flush. In the end it is covered by the roof cap so can’t tell from looking at it. Overall I give it a 4.5 out of 5. Have received a very good response from my neighbors how nice it looks and structure is solid. Had 50 mph wind for 2 days in a row and no issues.

Our build of this gazebo is on grade, not a slab so we needed footings. We used post bases and sonotubes, and raise the level of the gazebo to clear our head height (we’re both 6-4. The build took four adults over 30 hours over six days (not including the footings). We also needed three ladders -4,6,and 10 foot, and could have used another 10-footer for problematic roof panels. We also needed an entire table full of tools (see pic)- the 3”-long wrenches and Allen keys provided were cheap and inadequate; use a good socket set and Allen wrench set. We needed two cordless drills as there are hundreds of undrilled holes to drill before inserting screws. Erection of the frame required four people. The roof framing was incredibly time consuming and complex as the horizontal members supporting the roof panels had to be removed and reversed (the tiny metric dimensions on instructions show correct position!) Finally, many of the roof panels and the ridge cap were bent and had to be straightened with pliers before installing. Roof panels did not line up with the roof cap. After an exhausting build, we are happy with the results. After a week of use we’ve noticed high heat buildup under the roof- over 25 F increase…FYI. Feel free to ask detailed questions on our build!

First and foremost, the craftsmanship of the gazebo is good. It has sturdy construction and is heavy. The materials are of the good quality, ensuring its durability and long-lasting appeal. We have experienced heavy rains and scorching sun, and yet, the structure remains steadfast and resilient. The roof's design effectively channels rainwater away, ensuring a dry and comfortable atmosphere within. Additionally, the option to install curtains or mosquito netting provides an added layer of privacy and protection from insects, enhancing the overall functionality of the gazebo. Assembly of the gazebo was surprisingly straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions provided. With a little help, I was able to set it up within a reasonable timeframe. The parts fit together seamlessly, and the overall stability of the structure is good. The gazebo has far exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it to anyone seeking to transform their outdoor space.

The directions were pretty good, and didnt have any missing parts. Its so nice to sit under it in the evening. Its transformed the back yard to a place I want to sit outside in. Its very sturdy, and looks awesome. I built it solo....which is do-able...but I recommend having a second set of hands for assembly of the frame, and installation of roof. I added a half "privacy wall" to make it a little more private (as seen in pics).

First, we stained it bedore putting it together. We don't like how cedar weathers. It took the stain well, one coat. The pieces were easy to assemble. At time during the assembly you do need a third person, just to hold things in place. Otherwise, two people can put it together. Aside from the staining process assembly took 2 hours. A couple of things to consider, having power tools for the screws and bolts makes short work of the build. Also, the structure does not do well with a slight slope. My patio is between 1 and 2 inches higher on one side just due to sloping for water runoff. When I tried to level it, the roof cross beams sagged in the center. I am not sure who gets the ONE STAR review for the delivery. I was given a delivery date range, which was wildly missed. Communication with the supplier was inconvenient due to 12 hour time differences. I was given new dates a few times and the delivery eventually came but by that time, my scheduled help were not available. Bottom line, if you like what you see, you will be happy with the final product. It will be the base for my outdoor bar and I am happy with what I have.

We had a smaller space we wanted to cover on our deck which made it really difficult to find a gazebo/pergola that would fit. Even though this is marketed for grilling it works perfectly for what we needed. We’re even going to use the side pieces it came with up higher than it shows in the photos to put plants on. We did have to cut some of the ceiling panels to accommodate our solar panels but it was super easy. I can’t wait for when it finally stops raining and we can actually have a nice covered area on our deck!
