Great portable amp. It sounds really really good with the 2 built in speakers. Very easy to use. I love the drum machine and looper as well. I must buy for anyone playing guitar. No need for an app. The screen is small but very easy to read. Right out of the box you can start playing. This is not a toy. I have over 70 pedals of all types. I’m really impressed with the Jam Buddy 2. The different amp types and drums are impressive. I love having two switches which allow me to go from a clean sound to a distorted sound on the fly. I think this is a great sounding amp. I was able to dial in my sound with no problem. The effects are great also. I have other amps also that are bigger. But lately I’ve been using this amp because it is so convenient, portable, and loud. It’s perfect for a small room. Don’t have to lug the big amps around. The looping is good, and the fact that the unit has a rechargeable battery that lasts 5-6 hours, and cordless is perfect for the park or patio. Highly recommend the Jam Buddy, you can’t go wrong. I’ve only have about six hours played through this little amp and I have to be honest it’s a lot more than expected. It has 14 different amp head options and a lot of editing options within each. It has nice effects that you can deep edit as well, reverb, delay, flanger, chorus, phaser, vibrato etc. The three channel pedals allow you to choose an individual amp head and your preferred effects and editing per channel and save it. There is a drum machine, looper and overdub features as well as headphone jack and output ports for recording. The Bluetooth will allow you to play a song through your phone so you can jam to that song with its own volume knob. I’m pretty impressed so far, if you’re looking for a great little practice amp with all the bells and whistles this is it!

I rarely write reviews but this thing is such a cool tool. I chill on the couch and just play you can turn the volume down really low and still get a good sound. I don’t bother anyone cause it’s quiet enough but way better than playing electric unplugged. All the sounds are pretty good. Certainly good enough for practice and no ear fatigue like I’ve experienced with comparable devices. When you set it right in front of you the speaker just plays to you. Love the drum machine on board I haven’t got into much else. The Bluetooth thing is cool for playing along to songs just an awesome little tool, I play a lot more because I own this thing than I did before I got it. Definitely worth the money.

Watch reviews on YouTube, you'll see great tones and raving reviews. Here's what it's actually like: 1. The manual says nothing about charging status, or how long it should take. There's just a blue light - does it turn red when charging is complete? Does it turn off? The power LED has 3 modes: red=power on while not plugged into a charger, blue while charging, and purple while charging when the unit is powered on. It's also not good at explaining the factory reset process. 2. The viewing screen is barely readable because the text is so small. 3. The tone is typical modeling: bright, shrill, plasticy, digital. The speakers are NOT at all what you hear in video demos. To be fair, it sounds good for what it is, but all of these "mini modeling amps" with 2-3" speakers sound the same. 4. It's a desktop/ bedroom amp. You're not going set this on a picnic table at a park and hear it very well if the wind is blowing, unless you use headphones. You'd be competing for volume in a movie theater during an action film, if that gives you any perspective. I really want to give this 2 stars to reflect how satisfied I am with it, but a lot of people like this, and I don't want to discredit the seller. It's built well, and the features are nice. JOYO did a good job, I just don't like spiking my ears with bright, shrill, digital tone, and no matter how I adjust the mid & treble, it's never going to be like a warm tube sound. Plus, the screen too small.

I've been waiting for something like this! It does the things. This is great for all guitarists of any level. It's loud enough to satisfy. Usb c charging makes it the most portable all-in-one practice rig. Its just one box with all you need to practice or write tunes. The looper is much better than it gets credit for. The loop will sync to the bpm of the drum track. Make sure to record with a drum track set. You can turn the drums off after you have recorded your loop if you want to play your own percussion. The speakers are loud and isolate well, it's only loud where it needs to be. The amp Sims are great if you tweak the sub menu parameters. I love this thing so much I will recommend to students when I start giving lessons. It's about the same price as a pedal tuner. It seems to charge fast and hasn't died, I don't think it will being usbc is so available. The phone holder holds phones but tablets are too heavy. Con- there is latency on the "Line In" input so if you plan to plug your synth into the line-in and play it live between guitar parts use a separate amp/speaker.
