  • Great practice amp with versatile tones
The Fender Mustang LT25 is an excellent amp for home practice and beginners. It has a wide variety of built-in presets and effects, making it really fun to experiment with different tones without needing extra pedals. The sound quality is clear and surprisingly powerful for its size, and it’s more than enough for practicing in a room or small space. The controls are simple and intuitive, with a small screen that makes it easy to switch between settings. It’s also lightweight and compact, so moving it around is no problem. Of course, it’s not meant for large gigs or very loud environments, but for learning, practicing, and even light recording, it’s perfect. Great value for the price and a solid choice for guitarists who want versatility in a small package. ... show more

  • Excellent sound quality.
Very cool practice amp, 30 useful sound options and you can customize and save another 30. You will save a small fortune not having to buy multiple pedals. I had planned on buying an acoustic guitar until I tried the acoustic setting on this amp, it makes my Ibanez electric sound like a high quality acoustic saving me even more $$🙂. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Great learning/practice amp.
The Mustang LT25 is an excellent little amp. It's a modeling amp, meaning it can emulate a variety of specific amplifiers and effects pedals. It comes with 50 preset sounds spanning the history of country and rock, but all of them can be modified or replaced entirely. I selected this amp primarily because it's small and can model all of the classic Fender amps from the 50s to now. I figured if anyone can create good emulations of Fender amps, it would be Fender. Fender also makes some good pedals, so I figured they would use the same technology in this amp too. I found this a great way to explore the sounds of various pedals and effects without having to buy them. The sound quality is very good. You can explore sounds with this amp as much as you want or don't want. If you just want to play, pick a sound, tweak it, and ignore the rest. If you want to explore different sounds, you can do that too. I've spent hours experimenting with the Fender emulations and pedal sounds and learning the amp. I've hardly touched the other types of amps yet. If I ever want to get a stage amp, I'll pretty much know what sound I want. If you want to get even more into creating/exploring sounds, you can move up the Mustang GT line. They are much more capable and versatile, but more expensive too. I give Fender kudos for creating this amp. It's built well, sounds good, and provides a wonderful way to explore at low cost. The LT25 also gives you a USB out port that you can connect to a PC. This is a great learning tool. With some free audio editing software like Audacity, you can make high quality recordings of your playing for critical evaluation. All in all, a great learning tool. ... show more

  • Great amp
Bought this amplifier for my son to upgrade from the one that came with his guitar starter package I had purchased for him last year. What a difference. The sound clarity alone is such an upgrade, but the amount of settings and options were very surprising to me. The only negative I can speak of so far is that it doesn't comes with ear plugs for parents, lol. ... show more

  • Would have preferred more manual options
This is an interesting product but for me it didn't quite hit the mark. It comes loaded with lots of preset, modeled tones that are fun to play around with but navigation through the tones on the small screen was not ideal. I also found the amp to have a slightly too digital sound quality compared to some other products. It is a good product for the price but I suspect not for everyone. ... show more

  • Lots of fun - Versatile - Great sound at high volumes - Good online manual - good Fender support
Works well with other instruments ( ask Rufus) besides guitars - has lots of effects - I use it at home - clean volume - sounds good with external pedals or included effects. Fender gives very good customer support.

  • Just about the right number of bells and whistles.
I always played with guitar purists who looked down on anything other than a tube amplifier. Then after running their signals through an annoying array of digital stomp boxes, they would proclaim how sweet the sound was. If you are one of those people forget about this amplifier. This amp is light and compact, and it doesn't need a crate with wheels. It's billed as a practice amp, but you could use it in a small room and have enough juice to take on the cymbals. There are 30 presents and 30 blank spots for either your own custom settings or a choice of downloadable settings from the Fender web site. All presets and downloadable settings are tweak able, so you can add your own brand of special sauce to the mix. The Rockabilly preset gives you an incredible slap-back sound as is. I wouldn't mess with it. If you are a metal guy or an acoustic guy, you have all the basics. You can learn all the functions in about twenty minutes. The amp has analogue-style volume/treble/bass etc. knobs on top plus a convenient handle. The sound won't carry an auditorium or a 300 seat wedding reception, but you could always use it as a monitor or chain it to a big brother. You can add a foot switch to alternate between two settings whenever you are ready to make your solo statement. The amp doesn't do wah-wah, but feel free to slip one between the guitar and the input. All in all, I like the simplicity of this amplifier. Tube amps are oh so twentieth century, and digital has finally overtaken them. The size the weight, the sound and the electric footprint all point in digital's favor. ... show more
