Reviews said it wants sturdy but some said it was when instructions were followed. I followed them carefully and the bed was set up just fine and is sturdy. Will need a second person to assemble conveniently but only at two points. It can be done by one person if you are strong and okay with being in awkward positions. I'm thankful that I bought this bunkbed. My husband put it together and waited to tighten the screws till the end. It's VERY sturdy! I don't think you could find a better bunkbed for the price. Our daughters LOVE it. I do too!

I bought this bed in back in October and did not open it till now since it was going to a Christmas gift remodel for my boys. I opened the box right now and two pieces are cracked and has holes. We bought this bed for our toddler girls who don’t quite fit in the crib sized mattress beds anymore. It’s not as sturdy as I would like, & the wood is very cheap. If you screw a screw too tight, it cracks the wood. However, the instructions were easy to follow & it is an overall good bed to last until you find a better one. We also really enjoy the lowness of the bottom bunk, it’s flush to the ground so we don’t have to worry about anyone falling off that one. If you’re tall enough, you can easily reach the top bunk too standing up. It’s a perfect bed for small kids/toddlers but I wouldn’t do this for teenage sized kids. ... show more
