Very fun for little kids to play with...my 2 and 4 year olds just stomp on it now so I’m hoping they will get more use out of it when they are able to try to play a melody. Volume range is good, only complaint with volume is that if you turn the keyboard off and then back on by main switch, it always starts at the same volume, which is kind of loud and always needs to be lowered. Ok, first of all, I have to say the quality of the mat itself is pretty good and it looked like it would last for a while. However, my first thought was how faded the arrows and buttons on the mat were, not at all like they seemed like in the picture. It is a bigger mat than others as you can see by my comparison pictures and it has decent music (not exceptional, but MUCH better than others I tested). The detachable bluetooth device is nice, however, it does not compensate for the disadvantages of this product. First, it’s more difficult to small kids to dance with this one, since there are no clues on the device on where to step and kids can’t see the back arrows. Also, and this was the real DEAL BREAKER to me, it is pretty easy to connect to your phone, yes, but on The Bluetooth mode, the arrows don’t turn on by themselves and my kids had to step onto them to light them up. So essentially it’s like the free dancing feature but with your own music. Because of this, I ended up buying the other mat pictured, and I don’t regret it. My kids love it! I sent this to several young children who range in age from 3-4 years old and are all avid budding musicians, with a lot of parent involvement. I have not seen the product or them using it due to Covid, but all of the parents have reported to me that the children love it and use it all the time. As a teacher I know that being interested in something and having fun doing it is the key to almost all learning, as well was the full body component. Bought this for my niece for Christmas. She and her brother are both having a ball with it! I got him a guitar so they can play music together and it's totally adorable. I love that it teaches them basic music theory while still being fun. I originally was going to order a traditional black and white one but this one had phenomenal reviews and I actually think the colors make it easier to learn and remember notes.
