I went with this since it was much more affordable compared to the other options on Amazon and I'm glad I did. It was very easy to install. I think the "L" shaped installation brackets that came with this are a better design than the straight brackets that came with a different brand of blinds I purchased in the past. It provides multiple installation options and you can even install them without much measurement work since they can be snugged up against any 90 degree angle and the blinds will be in the correct position. Quality is comparable to the more expensive ones on Amazon. The only real difference that I could tell was that the spring strength is just enough to leave the blind in whatever position you set it at. In other words, it will not automatically go back up so you'll need to push it upwards if you want to retract it. I actually prefer this design since you don't have to deal with pulling it down before it can retract, which can be finicky.

I was able to install the blinds by myself and took about 10-15 minutes. The open area at the top is not an issue, because I installed it on the outside of the window. It is easy to pull down an put up. There are no cords to worry about with pets or children. The quality is thick and durable. I bought a white and it looks good with the curtains. Love that it's black out. It rolls smoothly.

I have ordered 3 of these shades. A 45", 46" and a 70". The shades themselves are of great quality and roller functions smooth and stops as described. I give the 45" and 46" shades a ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ rating but the 70" I only give 3. Reason is because the package and item was damaged during transport. The box end was open and the hardware bag must have fallen out. (Not necessarily fault of seller) But the package could have been packed more securely. There is no padding in the package at all and the ends of the boxes should be double layered cardboard or at the least reinforced. The aluminum part of the shade had a big dent in it. Like it had been squooshed. Instead of returning the item, because I would then have to reorder another one and wait until the damaged item was returned to receive the refund, I decided to keep the shade. I bend the aluminum back into shape so it was fairly straight again. I then bought generic brackets that may or may not have worked since Joydeco does not sell parts but would rather have you return the item and order another one. The 70" one must be a special order because it takes much longer to ship than the shorter versions. Fortunately, the brackets I bought happen to fit perfectly. So, long story short, I was able to make the damaged shade work, but it would have been nice if the company had spare parts that they could just send. Overall, the shades work great and I am quite pleased with how they look and function.
