I'd never heard of the brand but decided to give this a try and I'm glad I did. So far so good. If you're having trouble out of the box check the plug. It's got a reset that looks like a GFI that you need to press to reset it and allow power to flow to the ac unit. Once we did that this thing fired up and started cooling great off the bat. I'm really happy with it's performance so far. You can see if the picture that when set to 65F it'll push air out of the vents at about 50F which was surprisingly cool. You're going to need to vent the exhaust. If you're thinking you can maybe get by without having to vent it you're not going to have good results. The exhaust was 97F after about an hour of operation. It might be worth thinking about insulating the exhaust - it's just plastic and some of that heat is going to make it's way back into the room if it's not insulated. Drainage sounds like it's a pain but I've been running this thing off and on for a couple of weeks - with zero issues so far btw - and I'haven't had to drain it yet. I'm not sure how much water the ac is gong to generate versus the dehumidifier function but I'll update the review if it becomes a pain. I would've like a pan or something to empty like a traditional dehumidifier but I guess we'll see how it goes. The unit is very quiet too. There's no rumble that I usually associate with air conditioners. It sounds like a heavy duty fan. It's not bad at all. Couldn't be happier with this ac unit so far. I'd get another if I had the need. ... show more

This unit said vent kit would work on vertical opening windows but had to spend 1 1/2 hours trimming before they fit. The width of edges to wide to fit in the track. The vent hose produces heat, defeats the purpose of ac . Vent hose should be insulated. Would return but had to cut box to get unit out, plus trimming on the vent kit . ... show more

My studio/office is at the end of the duct run, so with a Ryzen 16 core "furnace" running 24/7, the central air just doesn't keep up. This kicks out plenty of cold air to get the room where it should be. I'm not real happy with the window kit as the outer plate is too wide to fit in the window track. I picked up another window kit, but the hose and fittings there are the opposite of the ones that came with this one (inner vs outer connectors, left thread on the hose vs right hand thread here). Some gasket tape that came with the other kit and I'm making do for now. The controls are a little odd, but they are easy enough to figure out. It will automatically turn off if the condensate reservoir fills, which supposedly only happens on the "dry" mode. The attached sticker says wait 6 hours to turn it on after delivery, the included manual says 24. Suffice it to say, if you think this got shipped any way but upright, wait a good long time for the refrigerant to settle before turning it on the first time. With high ceilings, my central AC just didn't touch the high heat we have been facing. This air conditioner is super simple to set up and use. It cools the room down right away and maintains the temperature well. The remote is super handy to have, so I don't have to walk across the room when I get cold - which inevitably happens because it works so well. This comes with everything needed to set up the system.
