I purchased these weights, or rather these bags for my business tent. However, I really feel like the bags are missing more of an ability to close up the water or sand or rocks or whatever you decide to use in the bag. We decided to use extra durable trash bags and we doubled up on those trash bags with sand. Zip tying them multiple times, so that way we would prevent any leaking from happening. It would be nice if these bags came with Velcro or something like that they were kind of seal of the top to help with this as well. ... show more

We purchased these to help hold our canopy down on our deck. Super easy to wrap around each leg, stays right where you place them. Big opening at the top to fill with sand and velcro closure. The material is breathable, so when it gets wet from rain or hose, it allows the sand to dry quickly. We were able to place 40lbs of sand in each bag, making each canopy leg very stable and secure. Filled about half way with sand available at Lowes. Five bucks for 50lbs of Sakrete sand. Hanging from a manual height adjustment pin, beautiful. Cut off two of the four pole attachment points, too many. Should withstand 40-50mph gusts. Will add/remove sand as necessary.

Did the job. We had a major storm hit that put it to the test. The sandbags held but the wind was so strong it pulled the canopy top off (Velcro tabs pulled off). The bags seem fairly durable but I’m not sure they will last more than a few years if left in the elements.

You will need two 50 pound bags of sand to fill these. I didn't use all of the second bag but I did use more than half. These look way better and hold up much better than other weights do for tents. I really like the Velcro straps.

Does a great job holding my canopy down. Velcro could be a bit stronger. Bags aren't even full, about ¾, & 2 of the bags pop open when you lift them. But during 50mph winds, my canopy stayed down.
