What a difference a good product makes. I was hesitant when the wig store owner and another hairdresser said to use Baby Shampoo; but I did. My synthetic wig looked dry and dull. I don’t know if I got a bad batch. Jon Renau products have really good reviews so I got this and have been using for a while. The shampoo seems OK and does a decent job. However, I just cannot get used to the smell of the spray leave in conditioner. It has an odd seaweed like scent. Fortunately, I have styling hairspray from Beautimark and Jon Renau that seems to camouflage the smell. My favorite brand is the old Beautimark line which has been discontinued. Fortunately, for me, I was able to find them on eBay and Mercari. I will still use the Jon Renau spray conditioner because I don’t believe in waste and it seems to do the job of keeping my synthetic wigs conditioned. I also like the Brandywine conditioner (not spray, put in basin of water and rinse out) that I use to keep my wigs soft and works a lot better than fabric softener. ... show more

The smell isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The reviews everywhere say it smells so strongly, but when I used the amount recommended on the bottle, the scent was very light. So I guess just follow the instructions and it won’t smell too strongly? It almost makes me feel like I’ve washed my wigs incorrectly because I find the very faint smell lovely, like salon shampoo. The synthetic reviver is okay as well, the smell wasn’t overpowering, but I again went very lightly as the instructions stated. It really helped hydrate my JR wig some which is always bone dry. ... show more

These bring the fibers back to life, lifting styling products and giving volume to the hair strands. the only reason I won't be purchasing again is the scent. I just can't get past it.
