Kids love it. Easy to learn. Cool lights. Can go fast (8+ miles per hour). Important tip: you must calibrate the device before its first use. If you don’t do this, it will shake and will be impossible to ride. I think the bad reviews here are from people who didn’t calibrate at all or didn’t do it correctly. The calibration steps are very simple and it will only take a minute, so carefully follow the instructions on the sheet in the box before attempting to use the device. Other useful info: Instructions specify that ideal ride occurs with riders weights up to150 lbs, but the board would take up to 200 lbs. Also battery should be charged until the LED light on the power charger turns green from red , and you need to unplug it once it’s green to prolong battery life. Finally, we found the hover board to work best inside of our house on our tile floors. While it works outside, you do feel the bumps in the sidewalk and road and the kids didn’t like that too much. Overall, a great toy and the kids have been using it every day.

This hover board overall met my expectations. It was easy to learn how to maneuver it. I like the fact that the battery is now protected so I'm not worried about fires. It takes two minutes to learn it and after that it's all good fun. I brought it to a friend's party and it was the sensation of the night, everybody wanted to try it out and the did. So far no accidents lol. I honestly thought it would take a long time to learn this, but I'm yet to find someone who takes more than 5 minutes to be a pro on one of these.The price is amazing for what you get, I bought the Bluetooth version, and the speakers aren't bad, it just depends on what kind of floor you're riding on, so the sound can be muffled on a carpet or sharper on the kitchen tile. The batteries last enough for a good fun, although it all depends on how you use it. I can't wait for the summer so I can ride this on the street, I recommend the purchase! Update: You can't really ride it on the streets, you need a smooth surface or you will feel every little crack on the road and you may mess up the motor. Also, apparently this hoverboard has two modes, a learning mode and a advanced one, however it's virtually impossible to know which one you are using at a given time, so you may get used to ride on one way, just to somehow change the mode by accident, and you can't ride like always anymore because it responds differently. It's also very hard to change modes back to normal, I'm still not sure I got it and the manuals are no help. That can be annoying so I'm removing one star. Overall solid little toy.

UPDATE: I am lowering my rating from 4 stars to 2. Make sure you purchase the Asurian plan with this. Less than a year of having it and only using it indoors, it quit working. One of the wheels is permanently frozen, so it only spins in circles now and won't go back and forth anymore. It has been well taken care of without any drops or spills. It still looks brand new because we've taken such good care of it, but alas, it's useless now. Thankfully Asurian took care of us and refunded us. We're going to buy a different brand. I strongly recommend you watch YouTube videos on how to safely get on and off this thing BEFORE using for the first time. The instructions are useless. My 10-year-old's first time on it, she fell off and fractured her tailbone and sprained her wrist. She couldn't figure out how to get off of it safely and fell right off of it on her birthday... had to go straight to the ER for x-rays. It was one heck of a birthday.... Now that we've watched YouTube videos on these things, she has mastered it and zips around the house without a problem.

Our son loves this! Got it for his birthday. It moves fast! Best for “coordinated” young folk. This mama tried it once and didn’t want to break a hip. 🤣. But for tweens and older it’s great! The speaker and lights are a highlight too. He can race around and hear his tunes in the dark. We haven’t tried it outside yet.... even though it says you can... he doesn’t want to get it dirty.

Beware!!! IF you buy, even if the package and board look right Be sure to flip the board over and read the sku/upc numbers and manual. The product looked exactly as ordered but when it wasn't going as fast as stated and battery died quicker I took a closer look at the stickers and manual. It was NOT what we ordered. Externally, yes but Internally, NO! It was a cheap, knock off!!! My daughter and I had spent hours picking out just the right board since she was using her own birthday money and other helpful reviewers noted to be alert because each color choice determines the features, style and battery life and price!!! It would have never dawned on me that that a product with so many stars would be a bait and switch! The worst past was doing the return process. The Amazon Rep Refused to do the return under the title of receiving the wrong product!!! In order for my daughter to receive her money back and get a refund for the added warranty I had to agree to let the Rep list the reason incorrectly. This is all so wrong! This is why people are saying their boards are defective! But ours was not defective. It was deceiving!! I'd give negative stars if allowed.
