It was easy to set up and is fairly quiet. Instant difference in temperature. It can cool a large room. The window kit is not great. Its kinda bulky. I don't like that it blows straight up. I'm not complaining. It works well. It's way better than a fan or swamp cooler.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great price. This is the second one of these portable AC units I have purchased. They're basically a no name brand made in China. They have been working very well so far. I placed this one downstairs on the kitchen counter so it could reach the window which is placed up high. The hose is long enough to reach most windows when placed on the floor however. Well made and keeping my small kitchen and attached living room cool so far.

Worse Amazon purchase I've ever made. The unit runs maybe a hour before it shuts off due to water tank being full. We had to purchase a large mop bucket and install the drain tube. The 3.5 gallon bucket has to be emptied every 6 hours! The exhaust tube gets more than hot! It heats up so much that the unit does not cool as much as it should. I wrapped the thin accordion exhaust tube with AC foam hoping to keep out the units own HEAR! I could have sent back, but seriously trying to repack a large item and tote it somewhere for pick up & paying return shipping was just not worth it. It will just be my largest purchase mistake ever. I DO not recommend this unit. Over the last 8 years I've purchased 6 different units and this is the most expensive & worse one! I hate it and will replace as soon as I can afford to spend another $300.

We are renovating a home while living in it and installing a whole new system from gas to electric. Since this past summer the temps were in the triple feels like digits, we got this bad boy. We put it in our room which is a 12x13 or a little bit bigger, and it's kept it icy!! It's absolutely awesome! Amazon thankfully delivered it gently and carefully which is a major plus. We did have to make adjustments for it to not leak though. We got a super sturdy tall end table and set it on top of that so we could take the clear pipe it came with and insert it into the unit and pop it out of the window so it would keep running on super humid days. The window slide piece that you attach the vent to wasn't long enough for our window, but my husband had an extra piece of board insulation from our camper. So we put it all together and it works. We only had one or two instances where it froze up with ice, but it rained pretty hard and we didn't think about cutting it off, so that was our fault. (Hairdryers work pretty well for that!) I love this unit and Id buy another one. ** I also thought I read something about heat on this one, just be aware that this unit is AC only. Just wanted to clarify for anyone who's looking for both. 🚨🚨 To pay 500 bucks and it only last a season and a half is ridiculous. Dropped two stars from 5 to 3.
