I bought the whole Joico reconstruct kit on amazon and I'm so happy I did! Fact is that my hair was bleached in a salon, but it somehow destroyed my hair. Every time I had to wash my hair, it was a nightmare! I tried Therapiste from Kerastase first for no big difference, then I tried Penettraitt from Sebastian and saw some improvement on the hydration side, not so much on the reconstruction side. Additionally, I tried BC Bonacure pepitide repair nourishing and was able to see good improvement but still some breakage. Finally, Joico got me tremendous improvement on hydration and reconstruction in just one application!!! Im AMAZED!!! The secret, in my case, was to apply the joico kpak cuticle sealer and the deep penetraiting reconstructor masque twice. I also used the Joico kpak clarifying shampoo as the first step plus the Joico kpak intense hydrating masque at the end. Finished with Pureology color fanatics leave in spray and Kerastase blond absolu oil. THE RESULTS: My hair had almost no breakage while blowdrying, it was extremely shiny and super soft. The new formulation of Joico Clarifying shampoo is excellent! It's the best keratin clarifying shampoo available. It helps prevent tangles, doesn't strip your hair, it removes excess conditioner residue and oil - it's really the best. It's also reasonably priced - you can buy liters for $30 if you shop around. I used L'Anza clarifying shampoo for 10 years until the price rose to to $30 for a tiny bottle (IF you can find it!). Joico clarifying shampoo is actually better and much more reasonably priced. I use the clarifying shampoo every time I wash my hair and follow it up with Joico K- PAK conditioning shampoo and leave it in my hair for a couple of minutes to condition. ... show more

I know it is a clarifying shampoo but it is very drying and strips the color out of my hair like a Suave clarifying shampoo, even when I pair it with the repair conditioner that it comes with. The perfume scent isn't bad but is strong. Finally, it is thin. For the price tier I want my shampoo to be thick so you don't have to use as much.
