The color is a lot better in person. The bed is def sturdy, but it was a little tricky to put it together. It will not stop me from buying another bed frame in the future. Companies should start having a QR code that you can scan, and it will take you to a video where you can watch someone put the furniture together. That would be much easier bc you can see the parts. Its a great deal for what you get and the quality compared to other similar beds and I have exhaustingly and obsessively searched Amazon and Wayfair and other websites and stores for beds. It's a classic style that goes with everything, super soft to the touch with velvet, and the best part was a tally how helpful the staff was with all of our questions so you have nothing to lose by making this purchase. Make sure to note the height in inches and look at customer photos to see the bed in various lighting. It's a nice mix of masculine and feminine styling and we were able to put it together ourselves without paying for extra help as it came with everything needed. The instructions were a little hard to follow, took my husband and nephew a couple of hours to out together. The bed is VERY sturdy and also beautiful. I saw some past reviews complaining about head board height, we have box springs underneath our mattress and it is still pretty high and not overpowering. Couldnt beat for the price either! The bed set is beautiful. I was very worried about it arriving damaged, but there was no markings or imperfections on the set when it arrived. Every part is labeled and the instructions were, for the most part, easy to understand. Quick tip: in the step that you’ll assemble parts S1 & S2 to the headboard, the picture in the instructions is not correct(upside down). The pieces need to be turned around so the screws for the headboard can fall into the pieces(S1&S2). Also, if you’re having issues with the alignment of the holes, make sure you don’t tighten your screws all the way until the instructions specify. Every time we thought we would have to drill our own holes, we’d loosen screws from the previous step and it would straighten everything up. There is a lot of give, which made the assembly easier. We did not have to drill anything and nothing was missing from our set. We were able to assemble it with the provided wrench, so no extra tools were required. I appreciate that nothing was missing and everything was labeled correctly; even the bags the pieces came in had labeled stickers on them. Customer service was great. I was unable to keep my bed because of the smell, but the seller responded appropriately, which is always appreciated. ... show more

I absolutely love the look of the bed and the sturdiness. Bed has an awful fishy smell. I tried to let it air out for the past 4 day along with using febreeze fabric spray. The smell is still very bad. I may return it just because of the smell.
