Put them up outside and they were super bright and they had a few settings for blinking....but rusted in less than 30 days. And not just a little- there is no way these would have lasted for next year

    • Outdoor installation: long controller interferes with outlet cover

The lights are excellent. There may be a problem with outdoor installation: controller (that you have to plug into outlet) is too long (5 inch) and interferes with outdoor outlet cover. You can not close the outlet cover - this compromises safety of outdoor installation.

    • Entire String Stopped Working

I threaded the light string through a grapevine arbor. I used two identical 168 ft strings. Loved that I could pick a different blink pattern for each string to really add interest. Alas, after about 2 weeks of maybe 1 hour a day usage, one of the strings stopped working. I could swap the controller/voltage transformers and verify that both controllers worked so it must be something about the string. Too bad and that string is "forever" woven into that arbor. I had to order a 3rd string and just wove it into the arbor with bad string and the good string to be functional for the wedding event. Whew, I am glad I checked but these lights scare me for reliability. ... show more

Love them! They don't have the strobe effect that most LEDs do, they are actually the warm white I wanted, and they work great! I've only had them a couple days so I dont know about longevity yet but they are perfect for inside my house. I have them hanging around the top of my walls swooping down and back up and the 600 strand goes all the way around from my livingroom, around the kithen, and dining room for the perfect ambiance in a dark house. They are just a little dimmer than traditional incandescent white lights but not dramatically. Remote works great, but I haven't used the timer yet. The different modes work great too! ... show more

Ordered them to light a path through the woods to a garden. They work great. The photo doesn't show how well the path is illuminated. However, the length is about half what the description says. There are 1000 lights, they are about 2 inches apart. So, the length is about 200 feet, not the advertised 396 feet. The closer lights work much better. ... show more

    • Perfect string of party lights

I bought these lights for my backyard wedding reception and they worked perfectly. The price was very reasonable and I liked that they came on a reel which made it easy to put them up and take them down when the party was over. Also, the strand was a lot longer than I originally thought, it covered the top of my whole backyard fence line with some extra to spare. The only settings I liked beside the full on setting was the nice twinkle setting. It added a charming ambiance to the party. Since I bought these specifically for the one event, We didn't immediately take these down after the party, we left them up for about a week afterwards. After reading reviews, I was afraid moisture at night would rust them, but that didn't happen. It didn't rain at all while we had these up, but the fall evenings were pretty dewy. I was able to roll these back up on the reel and we can use them another time, although I'm not sure for what. ... show more
