Picked up this handheld game console for a road trip with my younger cousin. We had a six-hour drive to Santa Fe, and this thing kept him totally entertained without needing Wi-Fi. I had high hopes for this little console but it didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. It's compact Gameboy style console that comes with a controller and advertises 500 games. I found it to have many repeats over and over in the list. Technically yes, they loaded it with 500 games, but I found that many were on there 5 times! And there not many games you would recognize from Nintendo or Sega classic 8/16 bit titles. There's a lot of what I would consider freeware or abandonware games. If you are looking for a white elephant type gift or a simple stocking stuffer this would be fine, but just be aware the games on the console aren't classics.

I got this handheld console mostly for myself, just to relive some of those classic games I played as a kid. It’s lightweight and fits easily in a jacket pocket, so I take it on the train during my morning commute. The 3-inch screen looks sharp — not washed out like some of the cheaper ones I’ve seen. The buttons feel clicky and responsive, which makes playing platform games satisfying again. It’s packed with 500 titles, and while some are repeats, there are plenty of hidden gems. I found myself losing track of time replaying a few of those side-scrolling shooters from the 90s. Battery life’s been solid — I charge it once every few days after short sessions.
