I purchased this heated blanket just in time for the freezing winter temperatures, and it’s been a game-changer! I originally got it to add an extra layer of warmth, and it exceeded all my expectations. The blanket is incredibly soft to the touch, and the adjustable heating levels make it perfect for finding just the right amount of coziness without feeling like you’re melting. When I first plugged it in, there was a strong burning kind of plastic smell that came out of it, which worried me at first. However, after a few uses, the smell completely went away, and I haven’t experienced it since. I imagine it was just the newness of the materials, and I’m glad it didn’t linger. I wonder if anyone has found this issue! The only “problem” now is that everyone in the family fights over who gets to use it first! I’ve already decided to buy another one to keep the peace. I absolutely love this blanket. I use it year round. It does get very hot. I use it in the summer as my side of the bed is by the vent. When I use it in my living I have to be selfish because everyone wants to get under it. I’ve sent the link to this blanket to almost everyone who came to my house to visit. It’s not heavy but not light. I would take it good mix. I sleep under it without it being on. I’ve washed the blanket and dried it plenty times and still work like new. I was so impressed with this blanket. I have slept with it every night since I bought it. It is really warm, even without turning it on. I take it everywhere I go because I get so cold. My boyfriend teases me that I love my blanket more than him. It's really soft. I did machine wash on gentle and hung it up to dry, and it still works great. I was concerned about that because I have had issues with other blankets. I do wish it came in more colors, but the gray is still a nice color and pretty neutral, so it doesn't clash with our decor. I ordered this because the temperature where I live was getting below freezing, and our heaters suck, as does the insulation in our apartment. Aside from layering up, this was the main way I was able to stay warm. I was ecstatic that I was able to have this delivered so quickly, too. This blanket is high quality, especially for the price. Sometimes, you can find a good bargain, and this was one of those times. I will be buying more of these for family members
