    • This is a great tool - but it requires some attention to detail
When I first installed this lens cover holder, I was concerned that it wouldn't be that useful. Immediately I learned to keep the attach point on the lens cover turned toward the anchor point. If you don't, the cover will be stressed in such a way that it could be peeled back. But if you get in the habit of turning your lens cap so the attach point is in line with the anchor point on the camera, you will not have trouble. This camera lens cap was a real PIA when I first got the camera. It was always left on, of course, but when I wanted to use the camera, I had to remove the cap, find a place to put the cap and then remember where that was when I am done, to replace the cap. If I had on clothes with lots of pockets, I was often holding the camera with one hand and searching for the cap. Here's how I use this lens cap holder. The cap is always attached, (and I have learned to keep it turned so the holder is not stressed), and when put the camera to my eye I use the middle finger of my right hand to flick the lens cap off - just that simple. I have a haze filter installed and so the cap pops off quite easily - but it should do so anyway. Now the cap is safe, and out of the way, and when I want to reattach it, it is right there. That simple movement, flick the cap off with the middle finger, becomes second nature very quickly and I have found this little tool indispensable. Don't be put off by it's flimsy appearance. It's light and when you stick it on it does the job very well. Just pay attention to the advice above and this little gadget will serve you well, and save your lens cap. Cheers! ... show more

    • Keep ownership of that semi loose cap!
Picked up an X100F recently and decided to get this keeper to retain ownership of the cap that was still intact. It’s a nice little stick on leather accent with a tether hole. Easy to install but I did it backward and had to peel it off due to no instruction. Tether the piece to the camera then the leather then stick it on the cap as the last step. The tether will not stretch around the cap to install/remove. The only thing I could say as far as constructive criticism goes is; it would be a little nicer if the mask backing was split into two pieces to help center it a bit better on install and maybe a clasp in the center of the tether just in case you want to remove it so it doesn’t dangle periodically. Other than that it looks good, the adhesive is strong but not permanent and it breaks up the monotony of the solid silver cap. 9.5/10 ... show more

Originally had another lens cap holder that connected by a small dot and it came right off after a day in the snow. Guess the temp change on the metal lens cap affected the adhesive. This holder doesn’t use foam mount adhesive so can withstand any weather. Gave it a good couple tugs and it didn’t budge. Works well. Covers a large area of the cap. Easy to assemble and put together. Good product for the price. Doesn’t affect the fit of the Small Rig case for Fujifilm X100VI. ... show more

Exactly as described. Adhesion is great. Looks great. People giving this negative reviews are doing so because they assume they will get a lens cap, because they don't read. This is the sticker portion only for an existing lens cap and works perfectly as described.

I purchased it and have it on my lens cap. It has a sturdy string, not flimsy. So far it's doing what it is intended to do which is to keep the cap near the camera once it is taken off the lens. It has many negative reviews but I think people are not reading the description as NO WHERE does it say the lens cap is included, it merely shows how it looks/fits on the cap. The leather (real actually) matches the camera and gives it a nice finishing touch. I would recommend it. ... show more

It’s not the prettiest solution in the world, but when you’re street shooting, it just takes care of your lens cap - no thought required. The design is well thought out, it’s fits well, adds no weight to your rig, and the glue seems to be high quality - that’s to say it hasn’t started to peel off.
