This pull start assembly fits and works fine. It is not the best quality but for the money it is a great value! Don't get me wrong, it is good quality and lasts much better than i expected! The rope breaks before the unit fails. I will but this again and keep an extra! GREAT VALUE!

Perfect fit for my Craftsman 21" push mower model 917.389021 Did have to drill out 4 pop rivets but this comes with bolts, nuts, and lock washers.

This is exceptionally well-made and better than the original. It came with 8 sets of nut/bolts to mount, an extra lock-wheel, and the material itself is strong with a synthetic (non-cotton) rope. It also extends further than the original, it seems, to just over 4 feet. The recoil is also strong and doesn't feel like it will wear out any time soon. I'm very happy with it.

The cord come loose after the first pull,also not the same quality as oem, the cord is very thin compared to original

I installed it on my Craftsman mower, had to drill out the rivets from the original part but all hardware was included and it installed easy. it also works the way it is suppose to smooth and easy.
