  • excellent way for dog to communicate
My Lab has used a bell to signal her need to go out, however my bell set does not hang low enough for my pugs to use. I was delighted to see this and got it immediately. It hangs near the bottom of the door, so the little ones will be able to use it (as soon as I train them to do so). It comes with a bell button which is not a bell, but the same of an old fashioned push bell one might find at a service desk. There is some kind of a metal piece inside that is connected to nothing, and I can't figure out why it is included. There are no directions included, so this seems like a non-functional piece of junk. I will probably keep it in case I am someday able to solve the puzzle, but that seems unlikely. ... show more

  • Cute and festive, but loud
The hanging bells seem to be for Santa's sleigh, and I am not sure I will keep them up after the holidays are over. The little bell that goes on the floor for the pup to ring when he needs out, well, let's just say he only wants to eat it. This set may be good for an older dog, during Christmas, but it hasn't been a great fit for us. I will say, the little ding doorbell is cute and if you could secure it to the floor or wall, it might be better but we didn't want to do that, and my little guy will just take it to his favorite spot and start chewing on it. ... show more

  • Very long strap & cute desk bell
I purchased this to help with potty training my puppy. I like that this has two bell that are two different types so I can have one directly on the door and the other in or near my dog’s crate. The strap type doorbell is very long, even when using the lowest button so I wish there were a few more buttons to make the strap shorter. Or maybe the slider type adjustment would work as well. The bells sound like jingle bells used for Christmas, which is funny because I ordered this in December! The desk type bell is very nice and it’s easy to press the button. It’s also pretty easy to press the button and not get any sound out if you press and hold the button so that may impact use of this. It has little travel distance which is possibly part of the issue but it does make it so that dogs can easily use the bell. I don’t think any of this will impact use in a major way so I’ve only removed one star. ... show more

  • Bright sound
I really like the sound of the rope of bells. I have to have a training session. For now it gets the dogs attention when I open the back door. The button bell doesn’t seem to be working for me. Underneath may be stuck or something. I’ll figure out out later. It seems the putt on to press is a bit small. I will see if the dogs will adapt. ... show more

  • Nice bigger flat button is easier for the paw to tap
The media could not be loaded. These bells are very functional and I love the red color! For the first seven months of my pup’s life, we thought she was mute. so we taught her to ring a bell when she was young to let us know when she needed to go outside for her business instead of just standing at the door hoping we’d look. She didn’t really have a problem, ringing the typical service bells over the last 10 years, however this red bell set is better in design in that the button on top is flatter and wider, so easier to hit with the paw. The other hanging bell strip is well thought out with six bells, and two different snap adjustments lengths to go over a door handle. I taught her first to touch her nose to a similar hand made type bell strip before graduating her to the single service floor bell. I probably won’t use the strip bells anymore but this is definitely a really nice set and would make a good gift for new pup parents. The bells are attached by regular binder type rings that can open and close, so if you want to remove some bells you can. *my video is to give an example of the ring tone (she really didn’t have to go that bad and was more curious of the new bell instead lol) ... show more

  • Training Bells to go Outside…
This is such a great idea. You hang the bells on the door handle so that when your pet wants to go out, they can be taught to ring the bell(s). I currently have a regular bell hanging on a string, so this is fancier, and I like how it’s adjustable (to make it shorter or longer). I will be using this one on the other door. The bells look like large jingle bells, but they aren’t as loud as my regular bell. I’d like for them to be louder so that they can be heard from other rooms (when it gets tapped on by a paw), but the pets will probably have you trained in no time, swatting at it vigorously if you don’t hurry to let them out. The little round bell is so cute with the paw prints on it. This is louder than the jingle bells and with training, can be used to communicate. This is a very good set. ... show more

  • Good communication aid!
When you get this, you're going to have to adjust your expectations according to the intelligence and stubbornness of your doggo. Having said that, my little guy has a brain the size of a walnut and will nope the heck out of anything he doesn't like. I needed an assistant with this. I had a friend tap the pupper's paw on the bell while i was in the other room, and each time, i'd come in and put a little more water in his dish. He caught that one fairly quickly. The bell strip for the door was another matter. We're still working on that one. I think it will work out better when i try it on a not rainy day when he actually wants to go outside. Overall, a surprisingly simple solution for a complicated problem! ... show more

  • Love the lengths, working on the dinger!
We hooked the bells over the doorknob for the rear door, so it would jangle every time the door opened. Our beagle figured that out very quick, and will now ring the bells every time he wants to go out. Our older dog is having a harder time getting up on his hind legs, but the length of these bells helps him out. Will definitely be trying to train them on the ringer too. Nice jingle, not annoying. ... show more
