I purchased the 3XL. I am an Australian standard size 18, but prefer size 20 for coats for that extra room for jumpers/sweaters underneath. This size leather coat fits fantastic. I have several "taking shape" shorter leather jackets and the arms fit fine because they use ribbed material for under the arms, (manufacturers think everyone has the same sizes biceps.) This jacket has plenty of room for arms, without being "batwing" I did ask for size before buying and received this response: Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us. The circumference of the bicep area of the Jild Casual Car Coat Lambskin Leather is. 3XL 18.5 inches 4XL 19.5 inches Very happy with my purchases. As per other reviews: yes the coat did have a petrol? smell when first unpacked, but I left it outside for 3 days (undercover) as others had done. Now it smells just like a leather item should. My advise, don't be put off by the initial smell, it will disappear very soon, and you will then love it. Fast shipping from the USA to Australia.

This lamb skin car coat is lovely. It is soft, light weight and comfortable for cool (not freezing cold) weather. It runs smaller than I expected-I ordered my regular size L, which was too small for me; returned it and ordered an XL, a perfect fit! (My height is 5 ft 7 in; current weight is 164 lbs). So, you might want to order up a size from your regular size. So far I have had no problems with the return, although I am currently waiting for the refund.

Gorgeous, fits perfectly and is sooo flattering. But yes, I don’t know if it’s practical since the buttons are so hard to button. And yes the sleeves are too long. And yes the smell is overwhelming; my skin felt inflamed from wearing it for five minutes. Ill send it back and get a vintage jacket on Etsy or pay a bit more for a company who uses more organic dyes and tanning products. Too bad.

This coat is absolutely beautiful! It is made of soft lambskin and the shade of red is a lovely true red. There is an inside pocket for your iphone or wallet and 2 outside pockets. It has bound buttonholes usually found on more expensive garments. It has a stitched waistline which makes one look slim. The coat is true to size! It has enough room to wear a sweater under it if necessary. I have bought 3 other items from this company and have been pleased with all 3.
