There was no assembling required. It came out of the box folded and wrapped in plastic. I bought it for my 7-yr old nephew, because he won't ride the two-wheeler I bought him (yet) and needed something more sturdy than the Razor he had prior to this purchase. He absolutely loved it; especially the wheels lighting up when he rides it. It states that the weight limit is 200lb, but I weigh over 300 and rode it for a little while to try it out before he got it. Would not buy again. Plan to request a refund if possible. Bought for Christmas, within a month the handle bolt broke and the scooter handle wouldn't stay in one position. Warranty sent a new scooter! Now, a month later its broken in a different way. My son hit a crack in the sidewalk and was thrown off the scooter. After this I found that the bolt was missing and the wheel will not stay straight or on. So, even with the warranty it only lasted 60 days or less. ... show more
