It does not have a hand brake or kick stand. The lighting is pretty cool. The lights make it stand out as something extra to have fun with. This was a great quality scooter. The only thing is the battery pack screws broke and now it drags on the ground. The lights on it are cool. It's easy to fold it. It was easy to put together and easy to ride. Perfect size for a 11 year old.

My eight year-old loved his light-up scooter that he got when he was five or six, especially during his brothers' baseball games. However, his was stolen when he parked it at a playground during our last tournament and his birthday had passed. He kind of got used to life without scootering as winter came along, but I wanted to surprise him with one for Christmas. This one was a total upgrade from his old one!! It's a little bigger and more substantial, and the wheels are bigger and wider..it's a much smoother ride and very appropriate for him now that he's eight. He is on the smaller side, but he has absolutely no trouble handling this baby! He checked out the lights and they are also brighter and cooler than the ones on the previous scooter. We haven't folded it up yet since it's freezing outside and he just rides it around the basement, but judging by the quality of the handlebars, body, wheels, and overall construction, I have no doubt the folding should also be a breeze. My son has a solid plan for the protection of his new vehicle when we take it to this year's games because he's not going to let this one out of his sight! ... show more

We purchased this scooter because it seemed sturdier than a more popular brand. It was for my boy that's 80 pounds. He doesn't do any tricks or anything on it, just normal riding and it's already falling apart. We were just barely outside the return window and the whole bottom section is coming apart. It literally feels like it's about to completely fall apart. Actual trash because my boy can't ride it safely anymore. So disappointing because it was expensive for not much use. my daughter got this a few years ago and it has held up well. When the wheels go off the concrete it doesn't fall over which is nice. It can go super-fast especially going downhill. It's a bit big for taking places but it's still a good scooter.
