  • Terrible dust collection and poor motor
Style: 30" Rip Cast Wings
Do not purchase this saw. I researched and finally decided on this one. I also bought a jet 220 volt dust collection system with the saw as well as the jet mobile stand. First and foremost, the stand is saggy and terrible. It will not stay in one place in a concrete floor either. The directions for the table saw itself were fantastic. I was real pleased with how easy it was to square up and assemble. The dust collection the same. Now, right off the bay- on the first cut, the motor was binding and constantly tripping it’s breaker. Terrible. Unless I use a blade with about 20 teeth in it, the saw won’t cut. Even pine. It’ll trip the breaker every time. The worst part, though is the dust collection. It’s non existent. The picture above represents the dust from cutting two pieces of 3/4 inch mahogany. There should t be that much on the floor. Plus, the ENTIRE saw cabinet fills with dust creating a fire hazard, especially with the motor getting so hot in the enclosed space. I called her a few times and gave up when the last tech actually said “that’s the nature of the beast” to me. I’m a general contractor and woodworker, so I know what to expect, look for and what I’m talking about. This has been the worst year using this saw and I’m already looking to replace this piece of equipment that I was so looking forward to getting. Do not purchase. ... show more

  • Quality control lacking
Style: 30" Rip Cast Wings
On this otherwise good table saw, did have one significant issue during setup, which was rather difficult solo even without QC issues... 3 out of 4 legs had bad threads where you are supposed to screw in leveling feet. Totally unworkable. Maybe if I’d bought a re-tapping set, I might’ve gotten them in... otherwise, I guess I could’ve tried to get replacement legs, which would’ve likely taken a lot of time and hassle, but returning this thing is practically impossible... I pretty much had to destroy the main box in order to get the nearly 300 lb. thing out. How to get it back into a shippable state, I have no idea. This comes by freight on a wooden palate with metal straps... intimidating to say the least. Fortunately in my case, I’d bought a mobile base for it, so I just left the feet off and shimmed the back legs to bring it level. Other than that, setup was difficult—mainly because parts weren’t labeled, so I had to assume/guess based on what was bagged together... not terrible, but not setup-friendly either—but doable. It took me about 7 or 8 hours, including too much time trying to get the feet on. Also had to install the front rail twice because the directions were a bit unclear and I hadn’t read far enough forwards to realize which way it went. Beyond the setup and the defective legs, saw seems otherwise to be of high quality. I haven’t had a lot of time on it yet, so I may update this review later as I become more familiar with it. ... show more
