    • Perfect way to mount a security camera onto a downspout. No drilling holes. Good instructions.
This is the plate I used to mount our Blink Floodlight Cam to our downspout. Although it came with nuts and bolts, they were a bit too large to pass through the 3 holes in the backplate mount of the Floodlight, but luckily I had a box of assorted sizes. The vendor includes temporary nylon straps for the mounting process, with instructions to replace them with the included metal straps when everything is aligned to your satisfaction, but the "temp" straps were so thick and sturdy I decided to leave them in place and see how that works out. It was quite simple - I discarded the siding hook from mount plate of the Floodlight and attached its mount plate to this metal pole mount first sitting down comfortably in the house; then went out and used the nylon straps to wrap and tighten the connected mounts snugly around the downspout; then slid the Blink Floodlight Cam leftward onto the mount. ... show more

    • Simple & Effective
The concept of this product is simple, but critical in allowing you to mount items that are designed to be mounted to a flat surface to a round pole, such as security cameras, security lights, etc. Essentially it's just a piece of sheet metal that is bent on each end and has holes strategically placed to accommodate a wide variety of mounting hardware/dimensions and also on the backside for the included metal straps to go through. The end result is that a small flat surface that is easy to mount to is securely attached to a round pole. Using this product is much easier than trying to fabricate something yourself. ... show more
