Glad I got this 40 gallon tank instead of the 20 gallon version. Has ample room for lots of smaller parts, or one large Porsche 928 oil pan. The pump works well enough, but if you've used these things before, you know it's not the greatest. Out of the box, it has enough accessories to get you started cleaning, but there is plenty of room for improvement. I'd consider this good value for the money considering the Harbor Freight 20 gallon parts washer is about $130. A few recommended modifications to make it work even better: -M14x1.5 ball valve for draining the tank -drilled holes in feet & bolted to a dolly -lowered the shelf to the bottom so that empty solvent containers will fit under the tank for easy draining/better storage capability. -self adhesive foam seal around the lid to prevent solvent evaporation -loc-line coolant hose added to pump instead of the included flexible steel hose -Oriflo wash brush with hose -a good set of chemical resistant gloves -safety glasses to avoid the inevitable splashing of solvent in your eyes. Knocking off one star because the packaging that this item ships in is terrible. It arrived with all four corners to the lid beat up. This could have been avoided if the packaging was significantly improved. The single layer cardboard box is just not enough. The pump was also broken because it bounced around inside the tank. Thankfully JEGS customer service was great, and honored my request for a partial refund + replacement pump, rather than deal with exchanging the whole thing. ... show more

    • Shipping damage and some upgrades needed
I have mixed feelings about this parts washer. On one hand, it is very inexpensive and does what it is supposed to at a fraction of the cost of an industrial quality unit. On the other hand, we felt the need to make a number of immediate upgrades. We installed some extra pipework at the pump to install a parts cleaning brush along with the articulated nozzle that it comes with. We installed valves so you can run the nozzle or the brush or both at the same time. So far, the pump is working fine. One thing I read on-line is that the cardboard packaging is not good enough to prevent shipping damage and indeed ours was smashed at each of the aft corners of the lid. Kind of disappointing, but not a show-stopper. The gage metal of the main box is good and once it has solvent in it, it is sturdy enough. ... show more

Parts washer was poorly packaged and damaged in shipping. Most of the hardware was missing or floating loose inside the box. Nuts and bolt were falling out of the box as I moved it inside, the hardware that was left scratched and marred the finish. After purchasing new hardware the parts washer was fairly easy to assemble. It works as it should and is plenty sturdy though it as a wobble as most of the parts arrived bent. ... show more

    • Shipping an 80-pound square object in a paper-thin cardboard box leads to disaster
Item arrived damaged. It's an 80-pound square object with sharp edges, shipped in a paper-thin cardboard box with no added padding or protection. All corners were damaged, and the powder coating was ruined. Based on the writing on the packaging, Jegs drop ships this item from the manufacturer, so they aren't the ones packing this. When I contacted Jegs they were quick to respond and refunded my $ when the damaged item was returned. Jegs never offered a replacement item instead of a refund so I suspect this item gets damaged a lot during shipping. Lesson learned. ... show more
