Wasn't sure what to expect for the low price but it raised up as it should after unboxing and our adult daughter says she slept well on it, and she has neck, back and head issues from injuries... that can disrupt sleep so that says a lot. I have been testing a few matresses lately, mostly priced below $400 taxable value. I considered this 10.5 inch mattress for a full frame to be a great value when I ordered it at regular price. The mattress is on sale for $233.99 and there is an extra $80.00 coupon to lower the price to $153.99! This may not be a high end mattress, but it's quite confortable, is rated medium firm. This mattress is great for platform beds. It can be used also in slat beds (though I recommend lining the bottom with catdboard). It must be left for 24 to 72 hours to achieve its intended form once unpacked. ... show more

The build quality and packaging of this mattress look good. It's always fun to pull a shrink wrapped mattress out and remove the plastic to watch it expand. This one went quickly since it has the metal coil springs and not just foam. Once fully restored to maximum size (card says 72 hours, but it didn't grow any large after 2-3 hours) the top layers of foam remained very thin, but this is similar to what is described in the listing. It just is easier to see how thin and nearly useless the foam layers are on this mattress. Supposedly a "hybrid" coil spring and memory foam mattress, it's 99% cushion by spring and 1% cushion by foam. You can definitely feel each coil when pushing down with your hands, but once lying down, it's not too bad due to increased surface area. I would call it a firm mattress, but not extra firm, however, mattress firmness is difficult to quantify. It does not hurt to sleep on, but is not the most comfortable bed-in-a-box mattress, or the most comfortable "hybrid" mattress I have used. It might be very good with an extra 2 inches of memory foam on top. It is an acceptable or average to maybe below just below average mattress. ... show more
