I've used flex phone holders for years and they all break after a while. It's always from pulling too hard to adjust the angle or clip it to something. This has a solid hold in any position, so you're not able to just yank it to change the position, but it will totally hold in any position you put it in. Yeah, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to have their phone help in a position for watching or listening. Because it holds strongly to any phone (mine is oversized and heavier than most) you don't have to hold at the center, so you're able to avoid pressing buttons with the holder. The only downside is exactly why it's so sturdy... You have to loosen the thumb screws to make any adjustments. It's tedious. But once adjusted, it's set and won't budge. You don't have to stabilize it with your other hand while pressing volume buttons or swiping or tapping. It's a great little device

This thing holds my MiFi as well as a cooling fan under it, even outstretched fully 90 degrees from the ground. No problems at all. Very secure and no movement. The ball joints make it very customizable to where you need the arms to be. The only 'issue', per se, is that the clamps need only a slight turn for the joints to go completely limp- so it takes a while getting everything lined up from the clamp out. But otherwise it is very sturdy and works great.

I've tried a variety of mounts, and this is by far the most flexible and sturdier mount. The clamp adapts to flat (desk) and round (motorcycle) surfaces, so I use this eveywhere.
