I bought this headset less than 9 months ago. Within the first few months the plastic started to break around the socket where the earphones pivot. I had to tape that side to continue to use them. Just recently the other part has now fallen apart so now the headset is held together by tape. I’m been very careful with this headset. It’s just cheap quality. I primarily use these for video conferencing. And, they get some use for music, streaming video, and gaming. Works well with my Windows-based PC. This is my main audio source for my desktop. A bit heavier than the 300 but with the lighting option and adjustable chat volume and same comfort level for all day work and play, I have relegated my 300 for work only. I couldn't get the equalizer to work. Changing the settings in the JBL Quantum ENGINE does not change the sound coming out of the headphones in Winamp or in Power DVD. I haven't tried gaming with these yet but if I can't get them to at least work with music or movies, what's the point. As far as I can tell, everything was set up as it should be. Headphones were connected via USB-C cable, not the 3.5mm jack and the default audio and microphone were also set within Windows. JBL was closed so I contacted Amazon support and even though they really did try to assist me, they couldn't solve my issue.
