The reason for 5 updates is on me and how I was connecting my pair of 100s. My Bluetooth connection constantly fell off. I was connecting one speaker to my tablet then powering up the second speaker and syncing the pair. In my Bluetooth settings it was showing one device connected while both were playing. I asked Gemini should it show 2 devices and Gemini said yes. So after I connect both I sync both speakers and then I go to my settings and turn on audio on the second speaker I connected to my tablet, why I have to do this I have no clue, nut until I do it won't work. After that I am in stereo and they sound amazing. I have to do a lot of extra that seems like I shouldn't have to, but if I want them working right then I do all of that. I'm very happy with these speakers. I bought a pair of Cerwin Vega V15's when I was in the Army and overseas in 1989. These 100's give those a run for their money. I love the sound of these speakers. I'm ordering the Klipsch ProMedia Heritage 2.1 so I can't wait to compare the two. ... show more

I picked this up to drown my neighbour whose shrill laughter cuts into your soul. Now I put on some Dua Lipa and crank it when I hear that hyena. The bass is impressive and the mids are good....I wish the highs were a bit higher but i'm really nit picking. Connectivity is excellent and the build quality is top notch. We took this on a recent holiday and it was lugged in the trunk of our vehicle, taken on a ferry, and placed on a wooden deck with the elements.....held up just fine. This is a serious speaker and I'd say all our family of 4 needs for the next few years. I'm a backyard bbq kinda guy and for my needs this is perfect. If you are considering an Aiwa Exos 9 i'd consider this instead....its newer, cheaper, and easier to lug around with the grab handle. ... show more

So far very happy. Seriously thinking about purchasing a second one so I can utilize the stereo sound. Bought this because I am phasing out my living room receiver. I did the surroundsound thing with all the speakers for the television years ago and found myself not really using it that much and the fact all the space it takes up and wires everywhere. In a digital age this just makes sense. Other than power cord completely wireless sound quality is what one would expect from JBL unit is portable. But not extremely. I wouldn’t recommend this for a work radio and I definitely don’t think I would take it to the beach. Although it would probably do well I would just worry about sand and dirt. However if you were having a backyard get together and want some quality sounds in your yard very simple for moving around the house. I have a very small workout room and sometimes I’ll take the speaker in there to listen to. Speaker volume is definitely louder when it’s plugged in. And I do wish they offered an app or a simple remote just to turn unit on and off. I use this with my smart phone. But I also use it with my home PC. Switching back-and-forth with multiple Bluetooth devices. Would be nice to be sitting in the chair and simply turn it on with the remote when I need it. But it’s not really a dealbreaker. I want to figure out a way to be able to easily sync up with my television. ... show more

The jbl party box 100 has some great sound for the price. You have 2 levels of bass boost and both sound great depending on the type of music you're listening to. The lights are a fun addition to the speaker but get old after a while since you only have 3 different styles to change to. The battery is good as long as leave the bass boost off, but if you decide to turn it on you'll end up wanting to plug it in. Which isn't a bad thing since the wattage goes up to 160 watts but only 100 when running off the battery. My purchase said it was a refurbished product but it came in its original box with everything wrapped like it was brand new. Not disappointed at all. Would love to purchase another to have a full system. ... show more
