  • Excellent!!!
Great sound, easy to install and Amazon had the best price and in stock. Much better than going to Best Buy and waiting 4 days for someone to even come and help you in the Audio section.

  • Great speaker for the money.
I bought these for my 2012 F150 after 1 of the speakers blew out. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and literally had both speakers changed out with door panels back on and tools put away in under an hour. The sound improvement from the factory speakers was huge. Now the caveat... I spent well under $100, so the bass is not that great. If that is what you're looking for, keep browsing. I'm a middle age man that got sick of the rattle in one speaker and this did the trick quite easily. Word to the wise, you most definitely need a second person to hold the door panel while you disconnect and reconnect wire plugs. I would recommend to a friend. (Also, you will want the adaptors they suggesting getting in a bundle.) ... show more

  • 5 years on and still sounding great
I installed these in all 4 doors of my 2000 Ford Ranger super cab back in 2018 and I am still jsit as impressed with them as ever. Excellent balance of mid-bass and highs. Very low distortion even without an HPF. With an HPF and a subwoofer tuned to around 100Hz cutoff they sound *fantastic* for the money. I will not buy another budget brand of speakers again. ... show more

  • Not impressed
I installed these in my '99 F-250 Super Duty extended cab as a budget replacement when my stockers dry-rotted and they were a direct drop-in replacement for all 4 stock speakers. Ford uses some connectors, so you will either need to get an adapter, or cut the wires and put some compatible connectors on the end, but that is to be expected. After a month or two, I upgraded my head unit to a JVC 13-band unit as well - also a very budget friendly unit. (Fair warning, I am a mild audiophile) After ~6 month of use running on the stock head unit, as well as the JVC unit, the speakers are 'acceptable' at best at ~50Hz and above with some hefty EQ from my JVC head unit, but just don't sound very good with my (admittedly limited) 13 band eq. I have to gripe on the crossover a bit. It's a capacitor. That's it. It's literally the cheapest crossover design you can possibly make. Because of that, there are some pretty sizeable peaks and drops around 1-2kHz according to my measurement mic, which is exactly where the vocals sit. As a result, it's very difficult to get a good smooth response curve through the vocal range without it sounding harsh and shrill or sinking into the background. I wasn't expecting anything too fancy as these are definitely budget speakers and head unit, but I did expect a better crossover design. Thinking of bookshelf speakers, you can get speakers that sound waaaaay better (and have better crossover networks) than these for $100/pair (even $50/pair) and that includes the time and materials to design and include a box! I don't know how the car industry gets away with ripping people off so bad, but lesson learned. Next time, I may consider designing my own component system with some actually good speakers. Overall, I'm rather disappointed and wouldn't buy them again as my '94 minivan's stock speakers sound smoother across the frequency range than these. ... show more

  • Second Set
I liked the first pair's improvements over my stock speakers that I got a second pair for the rear. Now I have these all around and I love the sound. I'm not interested in getting into amps and subs and all that jazz, and these provide a pretty durn top notch experience without getting into the more complicated audiophile world. ... show more

  • Great quality speakers for the money
Paired with a pioneer mvh300, great sound quality, good mid bass for a door speaker, good highs and mids. These speakers are loud enough to hear clearly over wind and road noise in my miata with the top down at highways speed.

  • Good sound, low bass...
Easy to install. The speakers are loud but the bass isn't even close what I was expecting.

  • JBL 6x8 speakers
Replaced factory speakers in ford f150. They sound ok only. When the temps got colder they sound pretty bad,no bass and one quit working after a day and a half. Gonna toss them in the garbage and get some pioneers. As it turns out i had a bad connection. I did buy pioneers for the rear of my f150. Needless to say the pioneers don't sound as good as the jbl's. So i ordered a 2nd pair of these today to put in rear doors. Much louder than the pioneers because the jbl's have lower resistance at 2.3 ohms ... show more
