Getting it for the reduced price really was the right move. I love JBL speakers, and getting it renewed from here was the right move, and I'm really glad. Basically completely brand new, except for one scuff. From the actual speaker standpoint, it's a high quality speaker coming from a high quality, renowned brand. It sounds really good, connects to your phone really easily, and talks to other JBL speakers so you can compound music with other people that also own JBL speakers. I did drop it once, and there was a slight scuff on the translucent plastic, but isn't noticeable. Really durable, and will definitely last a long time. The box was a little scratched up, but nothing to bad. It arrived with no impairment and no marks, like new. The sound is clear and full, and it can get loud (I usually play at 25-40% Max). I did some testing, against some other Bluetooth speakers I have used previously. It had much more dynamic range and better base than the Bose Soundlink Color as well as the Ultimate Ears MegaBoom 2 which is much bigger than the Flip 5 although older. (I had people listen with their backs turned and asked which were better). It is about the size of a 20 ounce, and can fit in my bikes water bottle holder. I have never had any connection issues or interruptions. There is some latency which can make it hard to watch videos. The range is good where I feel confident I can take it to the other side of the house throw it out the window and it would still be connected and playing. The body feels solid and durable. I have taken it into the shower a couple times as well as use it nearly every day and it still holds up well. Pros: -Sounds Great -Durable -Good Battery life Cons: - Latency (not super noticeable, but may be annoying too some) ... show more

It is loud. It is light waterproof love it. I put it on the charger for a full charge? Had to put it on a charger for about 10 minutes It already had a full charge to it. It was just a little bit below the line and I filled it up.

I've owned this speaker for a few years now and it's been holding up great. The sound quality is pleasant, there's plenty of bass, the speaker-linking function works, it's waterproof and shower-proof, durable, and incredibly loud at max volume. No real complaints about battery life but I do wish it made a small chirp or something to alert at 20% battery because I often to forget to check the charging indicator which is located on the back of the speaker and easy to miss. Biggest issue is that when paired to Windows, the speaker inexplicably turns off at random every once in a while, requiring me to turn it back on. It doesn't seem to be a battery problem and this is the only Bluetooth device I've had this problem with. No clue if it's specific to my unit since it is refurb or what, but I estimate it happens once or twice per charge cycle. ... show more

Great value for the money. Great sound for the size. I bought a silicone case to Sling it across my shoulder for moving around with it on, on weekends. Battery life is good & it's great not to have to worry about whether it gets a little water on it.

I use this speaker all the time, at the beach, at home, at work, etc. and it’s perfect. It has great volume and the sound is great and clear. The color is also a plus, super pretty! I also notice the speaker’s charge lasts pretty long.
