  • These Acoustic Panels Can Work So Long. . .New Update: December 15, 2021
July 15, 2021, was when I purchased these panels and a box of 3M damage-free hanging tape. I had to leave the foam outside for two to three days to off-gas them because they smelled. Since I left them out in the sun, they turned from white to yellow (I was fine with that). I wiped the ceiling with alcohol to prep the surface. Furthermore, I found that the tape would not securely attach to the foam. So, what I did was purchase a roll of 3M double stick tape, cut them into small pieces, and placed them on the foam and then attached the damage-free tape to them. Then I attached the foam to the ceiling and walls with 30 seconds of pressure on each anchor point. It is absolutely necessary to apply consistent pressure to the points where the tapes touch the surfaces for them to cure. Read the damage-free tape instructions and follow it to the letter. I know, it is a time-consuming and monotonous job, but it is important for best results. All panels are secure (see picture), and haven't had any problems since. Will update later. It is now Friday, November 5, 2021, and everything looks great, all the tape is holding and not one panel has fallen off! Update: December 15, 2021, all the tiles are still stuck to the ceiling, and not one has fallen. ... show more

  • Faulty - Did NOT expand properly
I followed the directions and allowed the foam panels to expand according to the two methods described. it became apparent that most of the panels would never expand fully. It was the same for most of them, one side of the panels seemed so compressed that the foam could not expand beyond what you can see in my pics. Seems to be a manufacturing issue. Will not order again. ... show more

  • Look good but take time to take their normal shape
I was looking for white panels. I usually check reviews before buying a product, but this time I didn't find any affordable white panels like these with good reviews so I thought I'd give these a try. I did read comments about people saying how they followed the instructions, but the results were bad. I left them individually on a flat surface for a week. A few of them got back their shape fully, others not at all. For those that didn't, I wet them with warm water, then squeezed the water out, then let them air dry. I realized they did recover. For those that didn't recover fully, I did wet them again with warm water then let them dry and they were fine! I soaked some in the bathtub. CONS: THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TOOK ME TO GET THEM BACK TO THEIR NORMAL SHAPE. Apparently, following the instructions doesn't work. PROS: They all look pretty decent and appear the way they have to be. Not yellow or damaged/ unlike the other comments I saw. Edit: they did end up getting a little yellow with time but I am fine with that ... show more

  • turns YELLOW after few months
I had to staple mine because they wouldn't stick to the 3M adhesive squares I purchased to mount these. They looked great! ...until a few months passed and now they are all yellow. 😩 They've been kept indoors and out of the sun so I'm not sure why they turned yellow except maybe that's what they will all do over time. Here's a pict showing the contrast with a spare one I just unwrapped from plastic. When they were white they weren't as obvious behind my sheer white drapes. But now that they are a yucky yellow they show through like low budget sadness! 😖 ... show more

  • Be careful in the dryer
I accidentally used high heat on my first batch. It caused the white to turn pink or yellow. Lower heat (like the instructions says) works better, but careful on the time. I should have just let them open up naturally. These will really deaden the space you install them on. Works as described. I measured with an audio tools app and there is a noticeable decrease in ambient noise. ... show more

  • 14pc Acoustic Tiles
The pads don’t line up perfectly as if the bases were solid like wood tiles, but they get the job done. Take form over fashion any day!
