Alright, I gotta say—I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered the Retrovolt Jasion E-Bike, but this thing straight-up blew me away. For the price point, I figured I’d get something decent enough to cruise around on, maybe a little clunky, maybe a few corners cut. Nope. This bike came out swinging. First off, the build quality? Solid. It doesn’t feel cheap or rattly like a lot of budget-friendly e-bikes. The frame is sturdy, the tires grip well, and the styling has that clean, retro-cool vibe without trying too hard. It legit looks and feels like a higher-end ride. Now let’s talk performance—because this thing moves. The motor gives you that satisfying boost when you need it, and the pedal assist is smooth, not jerky like some other budget models. Whether you’re cruising around town or taking it up a hill, it keeps up without making you feel like you’re about to blow out your knees or your battery. The battery life is solid too. I’ve gotten great range out of it, and charging doesn’t take forever, which is always a win. Honestly, I’ve ridden more expensive e-bikes that didn’t perform half as well as this one. If you’re on the fence, let me just say: for the price, the Retrovolt Jasion is a hidden gem. Perfect for casual riders, commuters, or anyone who wants a reliable e-bike without spending a fortune.

The media could not be loaded. Honest first 100 miles review. Let me start by saying that these bikes are an amazing value! What you pay for 2 bikes with the addition of the baskets and the rear seats is just simply unbeatable. It definitely left room in our budget for some small upgrades. The upgrades that have been done to both bikes so far are 1. Hydraulic brake calipers 2. Larger headlights 3. Pedals (just for looks) 4. Cell phone holders 4. Cup holders 5. Wheel covers 6. Mirrors. The one upgrade I felt was absolutely necessary where the brake calipers because the stock brakes are a little squeaky. The bikes were easy to put together out of the box but they are a little bulky and a little heavy. I knew that already from the photos and from other reviews that I had already read so I knew what I was getting into. These are our first e-bikes so I don't have any other e-bikes to compare them to but I do have other bikes and I could tell right out of the box that these bikes are well built. We started out with a few short rides just to get used to the bikes and fine-tune some of the settings and now we have taken them on several long rides and some off-road trails and the bikes have performed really well on all types of terrain. We live in Colorado and they have handled everything Colorado has thrown at them so far. The longest ride we have done so far was 25 mi. The range on the batteries has been pretty good overall, but on that long trip I did run out of juice about a quarter mile from our destination and I had to pedal that pretty heavy bike the rest of the way and it was not fun pedaling that much weight up any type of incline. It is hard to gauge the range on that bike because at times you will pedal and use the assist and at other times you will only throttle which makes it difficult to gauge exactly how much range you are getting. You can be checking your battery level but it takes one steep hill to take it from say 60% to 40%. So it really depends on the type of riding that you are doing. The seat is a little on the hard side so long rides can eventually start to get a little uncomfortable. And I'm not sure if I'm just getting used to it or I am starting to soften the cushion. But the last long ride I did feel a little more comfortable by the end of the ride so take that for what it's worth. All in all I have to say that this has been an excellent purchase. We have gone places we've never been before. We've gone on adventures through some beautiful state parks and trails that we would have never known. We are having so much fun with these bikes that we take them out just about every weekend now and we can't wait for our next adventure. Pros Great value Great looks 29 mph! Bike was great for the month or so my son got to ride it. Went to ride it this year and now it does not work at all. Have tried to contact customer support multiple times and never received any responses. So I’m not even sure if it’s something that can be fixed or what is wrong exactly. It someone sees this review and has suggestions- I’m all ears as my son would love to ride the bike and I would hate to have all that money wasted!
