    • Amazing bike, loving it, small challenges
After having ordered 2 of this bike and riding them around for a month here are my key takeaways to share. Challenges 1. I see they addressed the issue with people saying the front wheel fork gets bent in delivery by putting a bar with 2 nuts on it. Confusing part though was this was not reflected in any videos or the instructions. For a noob this presented a challenge but eventually I figured out what it was, its purpose, and how to remove it. Overall assembly took me about 30mins per bike. 2. On one of the bikes the back tire was flat day 1. Pumping it up gets it good for about a day but it needs a tube replacement. I don't know how to replace it but what I have gathered with these bikes is that they are easy to figure out with enough online research and some basic tools. 3. There are no holes to install things like bottle holders and phone holders. Get ones with clamps! Things I appreciate about it, 1. For the price point it has been a blast! It has gotten me on the road after work most days which is a huge win for my personal goals. It is a ton of fun and having the ability to change from 0-3 in assist is helpful for when I want it off to push myself or if I need it at some points on hills and such. It will not get you up a steep hill by itself! But it will assist you which is mainly the point. 2. It has an intuitive feel about it. The handlebars and seat are comfortable, the throttle and display are sleek and handy, I can tell it was well designed. 3. I have taken it on paved trails and roads just fine, as well as some easy trails. It is rather smooth overall. 4. Battery life is great if you don't use the assist by itself or on higher levels for long periods. When treating it like a motorcycle or trying to go fastest it will die in about 2hrs of riding. But used as a gentle assist I got the same distance in that would normally cost me about 75% of my battery in about 10%. Used as a tool it is rather efficient and can last multiple trips. I am sure with time as I get stronger and build endurance I can make the battery really last. If you are looking for a fun entry point to an ebike that is well thought out and has some pep to it to get you out there then look no further! This bike is an awesome e-bike purchase! ... show more

So I don't write many reviews, this is actually my third since using Amazon. My wife and I were looking for ebikes, I did quite a bit of research and found this bike to be a good value for what you get. We weren't looking for mountain bikes that could go 30+ mph, we were mainly going to be riding on blacktop and gravel roads. Pros: 1. If you are into a little exercise while you ride this bike seems to go on forever. We rode 16 miles on sizable hills in gear 7 using 2-4 assist and the bike still shows full charge at the end of the ride! 2. With assist we ride between 15-25mph, 3. Fairly simple to assemble, 4. High quality frame and light weight; 5. I personally like the 2 inch tires vs the 3". Cons: The seat was uncomfortable so I replaced it. We were going to introduce ourselves to e bikes, and possibly trade in down the road for more power. No need, this bike is perfect. Enjoy ... show more

    • It's a cheap ebike - just remember that

First assembly wasn't bad and I found instructions to be pretty good. But when I was done and took it out for my first ride the chain snapped about a block from my house. The good news is I was able to use the throttle to get home without pedaling. So I took it to a bike shop to get a new chain. The guy working on it had a few things to say about misinstalled components and quality of brakes etc... he replaced the chain and fixed an issue with the derailleur (was misaligned and needed quite a bit of adjustment) But he got it working and installed a bag rack on the back also. I should point out that I also contacted jasion and they sent me a new chain. They were responsive for those concerned about customer service. They offered to cover cost of bike shop too. I also bought a nice name brand $1800 ebike for my wife recently. So far with shipping taxes and bike repair my total on this bike is a third of that. And I think I am willing to spend additional $ to get a good ebike for under $1000. I imagine the brakes will need to be replaced soon (they need an adjustment now and are very loose and the bike mechanic told me the front was bent or warped already). And I've read other reviews that the battery will need to be replaced (around $200) but with proper use and charging i am hopeful mine will last a while. We rode our ebikes yesterday afternoon to dinner and back and the bike performed very well. The throttle works good. I found myself using assist level 1 or 2 most of the time. But tried out assist level 5 on the way home and really flew. The brakes were not great and need adjustment as already mentioned. The ride was fine. Headlight worked well and really illuminated a dark trail for us. We rode about 8 miles and I still have a full battery. Road again 20 miles with minimal assist on first 10 miles and average assist level 3 on return trip. Battery indicator still said Battery was fully charged after that. I suspect charge indicator isn't working or accurate. Left pedal arm kept coming loose during ride and I stopped at least 5 times to tighten it. The bottom line is if you buy this you need to be prepared to do some work on it. I would advise putting a quality chain on it right away. Maybe even have a full bike tune up. But if you want a good ebike for affordable price and don't mind doing some work then this is a good choice. Update - the left pedal arm completely failed and I had to replace both pedal arms and the crank had to be replaced. Sent email to Jasion and they offered to pay 70% of repair costs. Pedal arm was made of super soft metal and just wore down quickly. I have about 40 miles on the bike. ... show more

    • Great Customer Service and Great Product
The bike is great, no complaints on its mechanics or features. The only thing that was an issue was that the inner tube on my back tire had popped. I say this lightly because of the fact that all we had to do was let the company know what had happened, and within about a week they sent 2 brand new, upgraded inner tubes. Them popping was the only thing that was an issue - installation was very simple, easier to do with more that one person if possible, but still straight forward.
