I had a small piece of the wooden handle on one of the knifes that had chipped off during shipment of the product, I assume. I contacted the support email from their website and they were happy to replace the knife, free of charge. I received a new knife within a few days and it was perfect. The knifes are very nice quality for the price point. I highly recommend the set. They are hand wash only, but I usually do that anyway. ... show more

The steel on these is really thin. Also, despite stropping them after each use, and using a wooden cutting board, they dull quite quickly. These two things were the most important to me when I was knife shopping, as these were a gift for my wife. Additionally, the grip material likes to break off in little pieces where it meets the steel. For the record, I hand wash these and dry them immediately. They aren't being subjected the the heat of a dishwasher, nor being banged around with silverware in a basket. They're really pretty though. It's a middle of the road knife set, got it to replace our 30 year old set that was missing items and was getting really rough around the edges. Would really like to see these with thicker blades for more "hand feel" and cut control, but they aren't bad. Got them on sale at Christmas (2022) for $170ish? Reasonable at that price, but I wouldn't pay more. Beware: The block is a painted wood block, and nicks become quickly apparent from placing the knives inside.     • Sharpest Blade I've ever experienced
I had to cut some bread that was, EXTREMELY hard, our cheap-o serrated knife we throw in the washer was just not cutting it. (Literally and figuratively!) So I decided to give our fancy knives a go at it - The serated knife was able to cut through floury concrete with ease. Given the bread was circular, it accidentally rolled while cutting and I ended up slashing my left index finger. The cut was extremely deep (8 stiches) - but SURGICALLY clean. It did not tear the skin, it literally samurai cut it so cleanly and perfectly I am still not convinced I couldn't have just held my finger together long enough for the skin to just re-attach normally. You cannot tell that this injury was caused by a bread knife and not a surgical instrument with intent. I have never seen a more succinct demonstration of the sharpness of a blade than the cut I accidentally gave myself. 5/5. ... show more
