Although i’ve only used these knives since Christmas 2023, they are quality, balanced knives. Their edges are very sharp and this set comes with most knives any chef or home cook may use. So far so good. I did think when I put this set on my wish list that it was authentic Japanese made knives.

I wanted to get a knife set that would look good on my counter and get the job done for food prep. We have a studio and do food and beverage photography and video so it needed to look good on camera and function well. This set does the job. It has everything you need to prepare a meal and looks great while doing so. It is German carbon which is the best in my opinion. It comes with a knife sharpener too. One feature that is very helpful is it has holes in the bottom so moisture can get out. I wash them by hand so they will look great for years to come. I think the quality and price is great and I am really glad I bought these!

We purchased a less expensive knife block a few years ago, and it was OK, but hubs had to sharpen knives constantly. When they started rusting, he requested that we not scrimp on the next set, and we are so glad that we didn't. We noticed immediately how much better these knives cut. "Like butter" is a phrase that has meaning for us now. And an unexpected surprise... this block is angled in a way that makes it so much easier to glide these knives in and out under an upper cabinet. We couldn't be happier.
