  • The Free Arm That Changes Everything Stitch directly onto finished cuffs, necklines, and pant legs without opening a single seam. Once you've used the exclusive free arm on this cover stitch sewing machine, you'll wonder how you lived without it.
  • 3 Stitches, 1 Machine Switch between a 2-thread chain stitch, 3-thread cover stitch, and 4-thread triple cover stitch with 1, 2, or 3 needles. This cover hem machine handles everything from basic knit hems to decorative finishing in a single setup.
  • Room to Work, Room to Create An extra-large 4" 5.5" bed gives you more space to the right of the needle than most competing machines. Stitch deep hems, decorative triples, and wide cover seams with ease on this pro cover stitch machine sewing unit.
  • Tension That Works With Your Fabric The Seam Tightening System (STS) delivers consistent tension across jersey, ponte, spandex, and french terry. Differential feed from 0.5 to 2.25 keeps this professional coverstitch machine running nice and smooth.
  • Built for Speed At 1,000 stitches per minute with color-coded thread guides, pattern selection dials, and a convenient stitch reference guide, this heavy duty sewing machine is fast and intuitive. Load it up and start finishing garments like a pro.

Description

There's a reason garment sewists eventually stop fighting their double needle and buy a dedicated coverstitch machine. The results simply aren't comparable. The Janome CoverPro 1000CPX delivers the kind of professional cover hem finish you see on store-bought knit garments — flat, clean, stretchy, and durable. Color-coded thread guides, pattern selection dials, and a layout modeled after a conventional sewing machine mean the learning curve here is shorter than most people expect. The feature that sets the 1000CPX apart from the pack is the exclusive free arm. Remove the bed extension and you can slip a finished cuff, sleeve, neckline, or pant leg directly onto the arm and stitch a perfect hem without opening a single seam. That alone is a workflow change that garment sewists feel immediately. Pair it with the extra-large 4"" × 5.5"" bed space, and you have a coverstitch setup that handles both precision detail work and large-scale hemming with equal confidence. Three stitch configurations give you real creative and functional range. A 1-needle, 2-thread chain stitch handles seaming. A 2-needle, 3-thread cover stitch produces the classic double-row hem. A 3-needle, 4-thread triple cover stitch adds decorative width to necklines, hems, and yokes. Stitch length runs 1–4mm, and the differential feed adjusts from 0.5 to 2.25 — giving you the control to prevent stretching and puckering across everything from lightweight jersey to dense ponte. The Seam Tightening System and tension release device address what coverstitch users care about most: reliable, consistent results across different fabrics and thread combinations. Foot pressure adjustment with guide lines, vertical needle drop, and up to 1,000 SPM round out a machine engineered to produce professional finishing at home sewing speeds. If you sew knits seriously, this is the machine you've been building toward.

  • Janome CoverPro for hemming
this is a great machine - it was pre-threaded which helps a lot.. so far, after several tops being hemmed, it works like a champ.

  • Great sturdy machine
I really like this product. I want to start with what I really didn't like first though. The shipping experience was not the best. It came and the box was damaged. The machine had been threaded but due to shipping I had to start from scratch to thread it. The threads were a tangled mess inside the box. The machine itself is great. Its fairly easy to thread. The tension settings are straightforward including a diagram that shows different tensions. Compared to my serger, this machine is so still while it is sewing. It doesnt shake the entire table. It does take some practice to get the garment off, pulling the needle threads down and out so they can be snipped. This was my first coverstitch machine, and its been easier to learn than my serger. • A must need if altering clothing!
I got this machine because i've retired and am getting sewing jobs which includes shortening shorts. The Janome CoverPro 1000CPX works GREAT to get the stitch I need to professionally hem.

  • Worth ever penny!
I am a very experienced sewer. This machine has been a dream right out of the box . Item came as promised on time and no flaws. I had up and running within minutes. I am in love not a single problem.

  • Bueno
... show more

  • Perfection in everyway!
I absolutely LOVE this machine! I typically buy Babylock or Bernina (all my other machines). All I had to do is take out of the box, grab a scrap and start coverstitching and the stitches are perfection! It's is very sturdy and smooth while sewing. I love, love, love it! Now I can really enjoy sewing my own garments. My current serger I have to keep switching from serging to coverstitch and it is a total pain. Worth every penny ❤ ... show more

Love this machine. Researched for a while before I bought. Am happy so far. Will update later after I have used it more.

  • Easy to use.
I waited years to buy this Coverstitch machine. I love it. I don’t use it a lot but it makes a beautiful stitch when needed. Simple to thread too. Not much of a learning curve which surprised me.
