This works really well. I use it for a heater for my 55 gal tank and also use it to take the temp of the fresh water I put in after a water change. I did use it in a 3 gallon bucket for an emergency but for some reason the water WAY over heated... so maybe better for atleast 20 gallon + tanks.

My Turtle (Monsieur, 2yo res ) and I love this product. It brings up your preferred temperature pretty quickly and the water stays at that temperature. The display monitor is super practical because its outside the tank and you can check the temp from afar. I love the protection sleeve, my turtle loves to lay and chill on it, without damaging the product or being in direct contact with it. I turned it off for an hour and my Turtle just started acting like i took his favorite thing, he was so upset it was too funny, banging everything in the tank hoping to start it back and 10min after turning it back on, I swear i could see a smile on his face lol calm down and went back to his favorite spot on top of the heater. I'd give you 10 stars if i could!!!! Matter of fact, I CAN!!!! 10 10 10 10 ,10S ACCROSS THE BOARD!!!!!!

A Facebook friend told me about this. My Fluval heater is running hot (84F). I ordered this for my 37-community, just in time for the first cool nights below 74F in Florida. Unit looks cool. I like the orange heating tube, separate external controller, dual red LED displays and the grid around the heating tube. The description however lists “100W/200W/300W/500W,” but only a 200-watt version is available currently. 300-watt coming in weeks. It says the heater lasts “at least 1-2 years!” It had better last a lot longer than that. JamgoZoo does NOT sell any other aquarium supplies. There are many models like this available from unknown sources, also with bad English. Many of them cost more. The package is professional. There is a hook included to support the wires. the grid around the heater tube makes the unit look quite substantial. The heater tube is sparkly gray. The safety grid is beefy. The cord is long enough to hide the heater tube across the bottom of my 37-community, behind the Sword plant, but for now I have it in the middle of the back wall. I like the red and blue LEDS, indicating when the heater is ON. I really like the external controller with LEDs; my 1st. To track the high temperature in this tank, I have 2 hard-to-read digital and 2 analogue thermometers. Now I have an easy-to-read controller. I need NOT use the sticky cord hanger that comes with it.

I will only rate this 4 stars due to the fact it's a 1 piece design which I didn't realize. People with a closed top will have to make a HUGE hole to feed it through. It would have been great to have the heater unit unplug from the controller so I could feed it through the back of my canopy and in through the back of my base cabinet.

Bought this on February 16th 2022. Installed and set it to 78F. On November 28th the overheat alarm went off that it had heated the water to 94 degrees F. Unplugged it, externally inspected it and saw no problem. Allowed the tank to cool down to 76, plugged it back in (to see if a simple reboot would cure it), set it to 78, and the problem recurred. I didn't see a warranty and so left a poor review. However, the company saw the review and contacted me. After a few communications and a bit of detective work we arrived at what may have been the cause of the problem (a possible manufacturing defect of the controller's circuit board). Although, I saw no formal warranty, JamgoZoo is sending a replacement. Five stars, and more, if possible, for integrity, communications and customer service. I should also mention that at no time did anyone at JamgoZoo request me to change my original review. There was no quid pro quo, they simply wanted to make it right. Last of all, I should mention that before the problem I had checked the accuracy of their thermostat and it was within one degree. A first-class company all around. Buy with confidence.

I've basically boiled some fish when my other heaters got old, not sure why, I'd think if the heater fail it would have a safety shut off. I think because the thermometer and the switch are both inside other heaters they fail and cook your fish. This is different because the switch is independently built, so it seems safer to me.

I bought this October 4, 2022 and like clock work 1 year later it stopped working. The funny thing was that I heard some beeping but when I went to see what was it stopped. It's like the unit reset it's self several times. It wasn't until my Emperor Angle began to show sign of stressing that I really know something was wrong. The unit showed that it was heating the to 78 degrees but it wasn't. The beeping finally began constant to where I know it was the heater. I just hope I don't loose my Emperor Angle. They are not cheap. It possible that they was some kind of an internal defect but a year has passed and there doesn't seem to be any warranty on this unit and if there was, it would probably just be a year; sad. Would buy this again. "I DON'T THINK SO" I like to brag about you not talk about you.
