This can be used for cutting small log, the circle on the top is the maximum log diameter that can be inserted into the tool, anything bigger than that need to be cut till it fits into the circle. It’s convenient to use it.

If you think you’re going to split wood like most if not all the videos you have seen your in for a disappointment. Dispite a excellent price and the items it comes with what really good is it if your killing your self trying to split wood. I thought the crossing of the blades would make this process easier. I’m going to return the item definitely not I had intended or not even close to the use in the video. I bought a single blade that gets mounted on a stump. It’s just a blade with mounting holes which is a must on any of these log splitters. The item cost $42.00 on Amazon. This item is a great value but what good is it if your killing yourself trying to split small pieces of logs that just need one split?

This is exactly what I was looking for. We took a tree down last year and it's all cut into logs. I am using this tool to split the wood in order for me to use in my fireplace. This would also be great for outdoor fire pit split wood.
