New review, with newer model: This was to be my 8th smart blind from this company, as I really believed I found the one. Sadly, they've updated their models and they are no longer compatible with automation. If you get a model WITHOUT the physical on/off switch, then you have this newer, incompatible model. There's one glaring flaw and another automation-breaking design flaw. The first issue is it reports the inverted position to your zigbee, meaning when it's physically open/closed, it reports the opposite. You can make a template in Home Assistant to account for the position (100 - reported), however it doesn't fix Home Assistant thinking it's fully open/closed, which means you can't use the native arrows to go up/down, since it disables down when it thinks it's closed and vice versa (partial open/close is fine). Because you have to use a template, Home Assistant doesn't recognize this as an entity that can be used in Scenes, which means you'd have to either run a Script that will set the Scene and separately call the blind's position, or you have to separately call the blind's position after the Scene in the Automation (if you don't want to deal with Scripts). This is extremely annoying, but tolerable. The AUTOMATION-BREAKING issue is without the physical on/off switch, the blind goes to sleep and no amount of zigbee commands will wake it up. The ONLY WAY to get it working again with automation is to send a command via the remote. Maybe if this sleep timer was 24 hours, I never would have known. But it's not. Between sun down and sun rise, it'll go to sleep. I've reached out to Jaes about this behavior with the first blind, and we both assumed it was defective. But the second blind I received has the exact same behavior, so this is NOT a defect, this is a blatant design flaw. Back on the hunt for a true, automation-friendly smart blind... Jaes, if you read this, realize whatever benefit you get from removing the physical on/off switch is not worth it. Aside from the obvious benefit of the physical switch assuring the blind stays on and does not go to sleep, it makes pairing new blinds far easier because I can simply turn off old blinds to prevent accidental pairing then turn them back on. Old review, with previous model: These smart blinds work with Home Assistant! And I wish I found these before IKEA because these look better with the top part and are both quieter and quicker. Plus, the remote control on these is much better, and they still work even after adding the blinds to Home Assistant (without having to also add the remote control itself - which I may still do for other options, since there are way more than just two buttons, like IKEA's remote) ... show more

They work as intended , but get used to device unreponsive errors and servor errors, i would get the gateway as you control them with timer, when they work they do work , but the gateway and timer always work..alexa works sometimes, if alexa doesnt find them as * interior blinds in the alexa app they will not work** with alexa. Also the other version , cheaper version works really well with wifi gateway and notifications. Also you must use the phrase that alexa can understand or they wont work, they are supplied when you successfully connect with alexa...they are very easy to install! ... show more

    • I Love this Blind
Love this blind! We use it in the front window in our living room to create privacy and block blinding sunlight in the early morning and evening. We have a large window and our television sits in front, which made installing a standard blind impossible since we would be unable to raise and lower it manually. This blind works perfectly and fully blocks out light when lowered. One click of the remote and it raises or lowers the blind to the programmed position. Simple. The motor operates quietly when it raises and lowers. No noisy fanfare. Exactly what you want. The installation was easier than we thought. They did an amazing job creating a paper template for installing the brackets. Worked perfectly the first time. I like that this does not use batteries. It's rechargeable and works with a solar panel charger (purchased separately) to maintain the charge. I was not able to get it hooked up to Alexa, but I had already suspected that it may be a problem, considering the comments on the other reviews. For this reason, I didn't even reduce a star since I was not expecting this to work. ... show more
