This is my first sectional, so I'm not familiar with how they're made. I can only speak about this one. There's no mechanism to hold them together, so they tend to part after sitting on them. Ok, so. I do LOVE THIS COUCH. This is my tenth couch over the years, I generally go for looks over comfort, however, I was able to get both with this item. 1. Incredibly comfortable 2. Super deep set (a family of four can lay down comfortably) 4. very modern, looks like a bunch of square cushions put together. (Which is a look I love) 5. People don’t seem to like the lowness of the couch, but I love that. I dig the ultra modern, minimalist look. One thing I’m not a fan of:*** 1. The color is a faded black, and is a visible contrast with all my other black items (But, it is still black and still in the black family of colors) ** in a nutshell, the faded black bothers me. Very comfortable sofa. Love the over sized arms and seats. Def makes for a cozy sofa. We added 5 inch feet on all the pieces which makes it easier to get on and off. The original feet are less than 2 inches which makes it very low to the floor(If you don’t mind that then you are good as is.) Minus 1 star due to shipping with fedex and in 3 different orders. Got 3 pieces within 4 days of ordering then the next week we got the other 2. (We didn’t know that it was separate orders untill we reached out to the seller in which they were responsive and gave a us the tracking orders). Easy to put together. We added a few extra pillows to make it more like a bed than a sofa when both ottomans are together😉. Overall great purchase. ... show more
