I bought these for my job. I do captioning and I have to have excellent sound quality to hear and excellent microphone quality to upload dictation. This headset has provided those for me. It is also comfortable to wear all day long. I don't have any irritation or pain from this headset at all, and I get headaches very easily. The only thing I don't like is that the volume buttons are on the right earpiece. My previous headset had controls along the cord which I preferred. I also preferred the microphone to be on the left, while with this headset it is on the right. I have gotten used to the microphone placement but I still don't like the volume controls on the right earpiece. There are times I press the earpiece to my ear when I can't hear something well and I accidentally hit mute or a volume button - it's very frustrating. That's the reason I took a star off. I still decided to keep this headset because of the sound and microphone quality being so much better than the others I have tried. ... show more

Over the years, I've used a lot of headsets both cheap and expensive. I bought this for two purposes: meetings and music during the workday. I'm using this headset a good 40 - 45 hours a week and regularly traveling between home and work with it in my standard kit. For the meetings case, it works spectacularly. Good quality audio and microphone, better than any other headset I've used in terms of microphone. It might not filter out the sounds of a jackhammer or a rifle range or something like that, but it certainly will cope with people talking and typing within ear shot. Having one or two zoom meetings every day, I greatly appreciate the microphone! Sound quality is great for meetings where people talk. Can't speak for meetings that involve multimedia content production instead of conversations and screen shares. Simply swinging the mic boom up and down is enough for what I need, so no real need to putz with the buttons. For the music case, it works well enough for my ears. No complaints. It's not going to compete with over the ear cans, but good quality audio and quite comfortable. Especially if you find yourself having to get up every few hours. If you're not an audiophile or trying to make your brain shake from the bass, I don't think anyone should complain about the sound quality. Maybe get something different if you're running a digital audio workstation instead of enjoying tunes. The included travel bag is also pretty nice. I can easily wrap the cable around the headset, slide it into the bag, and toss it into my backpack. Keeps it nice and protected, and no worries about the cable getting lose in my bag. For about $100, it's pretty darn good. If I was to change anything, I would replace the typical plastic insulated cable with a braided nylon for the tangle free. Like really, that's the only thing I can belly ache about, lol. It's quite common for the cable to get a bit of loop or tangle somewhere between my laptop and my head, but that's going to happen with *any* standard cable. I have been very happy so far, I use them every day 1-2 hours for language lessons and an additional 3-4 hours each week playing video games. They are comfortable and I haven't had any dropping out so far after about 4 months of use. The speaker on the right side is a little awkward but just because I've never had a headset like that. I was a little hesitant about the earmuff comfortability but so far it hasn't been an issue, it may depend on the ear shape of the person. I don't know how effective the noise cancellation is, I've asked people a few times on the other end and don't have much data. Overall, really happy and highly recommend, especially at the price point. ... show more

I got this headset for working at home as I had a soft phone on my work laptop. The main complain I was getting previously was that there was too much echo in the room at work in. This headset eliminated that, is compatible with Jabber (the software my job uses) so definitely glad I bought it. The main issue I have is the mic, it’s on the right side and is not adjustable other than up or down. I, however, have had a few times where while I was speaking the mic is too close to my mouth and will cause a loud feedback. In addition, occasionally my mustache will also touch the mic and cause a noise. So a means to push the mic back a little bit would have been nice. ... show more

I couldn't believe how well the noise cancelling microphone works. It's truly amazing. However, why the company would go through this much effort to reduce microphone noise, but still let every last sound into the headphones, is beyond me. The way the ear pads are designed, they don't really seal around your ear very well. It should be like putting your palms over your ears, but instead it's more like putting your fingers over your ears. Overall it's a useful tool and I like it, but a little more effort would have gone a very long way. ... show more

These Jabra evolve2 30 UC, are great quality. However, when setting up on a Windows based PC, I installed the Jabra direct driver and followed the install directions. And they didn't work properly at first. This was bad since it was in the start of important business meeting. So it's very important to go into the control panel then to device settings under microphone. The PC intergraded mic was on simultaneously with the Jabra microphone. So background noice from the PC mic was cancelling out the Jabra mic. Be sure to check the mic settings in your PC. I had to disable the PC built in "intergrated mic" in order for the Jabra to work properly. After this, all is great. Just be sure to check these settings before getting into an unprofessional situation. Best of luck! ... show more
