I recently bought a Microphone Stand for Blue Yeti with Shock Mount, Adjustable Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand. The problem was that the arms were too short for my desk setup. I found the IXTECH captain pro and thought that I would try it. This is a great microphone arm. I was able to set it up behind my monitor and it's the perfect length and height for my 27.5 inches wide desk. The build quality is good and it has a grove built in for cable management, plus it came with a phone holder. If you are looking for a boom style microphone arm, you can't go wrong with this one.

Over the years I've had a lot of mic boom arms but I have to say that this one is the best! Sturdy, nice tight feel, quiet, and stays in place even when I accidentally bump it. Keeps my mic cable organized and out fo the way and bridges comfortably over my mixing board and recorder. GREAT BOOM!

It's stable, holds to my desk well, doesn't drift with time, and fits excellently with my monitor setup. Installation was a little difficult, but the results were more than worth it.

Overall a great mic arm - I can position it however I need it and shove it out of the way when I don't, it mounts securely to my glass desktop, it holds up a fairly heavy capsule mic with shock mount and pop filter with no complaints. The cable channel and headphone holder are nice touches, and it's mostly made of nice solid metal parts. Except one. The ball joint that actually attaches to the microphone is cheap plastic and can't hold nearly the weight that the armature itself can, so essentially it offers a strong stable arm with a limp sagging wrist, no matter how hard I tighten down the screw. Maybe it would be a better experience with a lighter microphone - mine is on the heavy side, but it doesn't exceed the specs of the arm - and because it's otherwise good quality. Replacing this one 50 cent plastic part with a slightly sturdier equivalent would instantly make this a 5 star product.

Previously I had a tripod that served me to place my iphone and thus have meetings (work from home) using the camera but then I thought about making an upgrade to my tripod and I had the mistake of buying this product! and it was the worst decision because it cost about 120 dollars and the fastener falls every time making ocute space on top not serve, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT is a waste of money and time.

The boom seems solidly built and works well from what I can see. That said it came bent — the two arms do not align and it bothers me but not enough to go through the hassle of returning and waiting for another unit. Disappointed in that regard, especially given the price. Update: The tension rods were stripped, leaving the whole thing unadjustable
